For a shorter experience, the 6-hour tour bypasses Amarante and goes straight to Quinta do Seixo, followed by lunch and a visit to the Miradouro de Casal de Loivos.

The best day with the best guide - Ricardo was an amazing guide. He was very punctual on pickup, and extremely friendly. Doing the small tour was the best decision because we were able to connect with the other people on our tour, and we were able to explore the stops without the craziness of a large group. Ricardo also took extra pictures of us which he shared afterwards as a nice bonus. On top of an amazing day, Ricardo also shared some recommendations for a town we were visiting later in our trip. You can’t go wrong with this tour, and I would 100% recommend. Thank you Ricardo!

Full day Duoro Valley wine tour with lunch. - Ricardo our tour guide was brilliant, knowledgeable & humorous.
The day was very scenic, learnt & tasted various port wine & the lunch was delicious. We're certainly wined out by the end of the day.
We ordered vegetarian lunch & it was delicious.
Highly recommend this tour for wine lovers.

Unforgettable Day - Ricardo contacted us within minutes of making the reservation at our hotel, in fact kept in contact even after the tour was finished with pictures he did during our stops.
Our stops at both places were very special, we got to experience the ports and the last stop was the different olive oils and wines. lunch that was included in our package was fabulous, so much food and wine.
We loved the small group experience and Ricardo being our guide, excellent driver travelling on the roads to the top of the mountain.

My wife and I had some memorable experiences on our tour - A once in a lifetime experience. Our guide, Alex, was incredibly knowledgeable and informative about every aspect of the journey and was thoroughly conversant with us. Well educated on the history and culture of the areas we visited and his conversant English was easy to understand. On a scale of 10 he should get an 11.

DuoroTastc! - Fabulous experience. Chris was a true gentleman, knowledgeable and accommodating. The Douro was spectacular, a definite DO NOT MISS place on earth. The rich history combined with fantastic views and delicious Port wine truly made it unforgettable.

Great over all experience of the Duoro Wine tour. Complete and a wonderful way to spend your day in Porto! - We had a great tour with our guide, João Jesus. He was a great historian, and also an excellent driver! Learned so much during this trip and everything was organized, and on time! We had a day trip from Porto to the famed Douro Valley where we took a scenic ride and enjoyed the day sampling wine at port wineries, lunch in the village of Pinhao and a boat river cruise. I will definitely recommend this tour to everyone and the same tour guide/driver!

Must see tour! - We had an absolutely unforgettable day on the Douro Valley tour with Meridian4People == truly a 5 star experience from start to finish.
Everything was perfectly organized: comfortable transport, breathtaking scenery, and a very well-balanced itinerary that included two excellent winery visits, a relaxing boat trip on the Douro River, and a delicious traditional lunch. The Douro Valley itself is stunning, but what made this day really special was our guide, Alex.
Alex was exceptional. Knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the region, he brought the history, culture, and wine traditions of the Douro to life in a way that was both informative and entertaining. He managed our group perfectly, kept everything running smoothly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. His recommendations, sense of humor, and attention to detail made a huge difference.
You can tell when someone truly loves what they do — and Alex absolutely does.
This tour exceeded all our expectations and was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. We would highly recommend Meridian4People, and if you can, definitely ask for Alex — he will make your experience unforgettable.

Best part of our three-week visit to Portugal - This being our first experience to the Douro valley, we really wanted a tour that would combine the history with the culture and our tour exceeded all expectations!
In fact, it was the highlight of our three week stay in Portugal. Joao Jesus, our guide, provided us with a very special experience—from the transport to the many curated stops—we enjoyed food, wine, scenery beyond imagination, and extremely rich discussions about history and life in general. We were treated like royals throughout the day and could not have asked for more. Highly recommend this tour to others looking for an authentic and relaxing day in Duoro! Thank you, Joao!
