• Ponte Infante Dom Henrique - Also known as Ponte do Infante, this road bridge connects Vila Nova de Gaia to Porto over the Douro River in Portugal. Named in honor of Infante D. Henrique, born in Porto, it is the most recent and, according to many, the most elegant bridge linking Porto and Gaia. It was constructed to replace the upper deck of the Luís I Bridge.
• Ponte de Sao Joao - Ponte de São João is a railway bridge that carries the Northern Line over the Douro River, near Porto, Portugal. Built to replace the 100-year-old Ponte D. Maria Pia, it began service on June 24, 1991.
• Ponte da Arrabida - Ponte da Arrábida is an arched bridge over the Douro River. Since the 1930s, there was a need to create alternative connections to the old bridges (D. Maria Pia and D. Luís bridges) to accommodate the increasing road traffic. At the time of its construction in 1963, it boasted the largest reinforced concrete arch of any bridge worldwide.
• Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar - A historic monastery from the 16th century, situated atop a hill and renowned for its cloister and round church. The monastery is considered one of the most remarkable buildings in classical European architecture due to its exceptional architectural value and the unique character of its circular church and cloister. The church was designated a National Monument in 1910 and, in 1996, along with the Historic Center of Porto and the Luís I Bridge, it was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Ponte D. Maria Pia - A grand arched railway bridge completed in 1877 and designed by the renowned architect Gustave Eiffel. It is regarded, along with the Viaduct of Garabit, as one of the greatest masterpieces by engineer Gustave Eiffel. At its inauguration, it featured the longest iron arch of any bridge in the world.
• Cais de Gaia - Cais de Gaia is a tourist area with terraces, restaurants, and bars, located on the left bank of the Douro River in Vila Nova de Gaia, opposite Porto’s historic area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Portugal. The tour spans 20 km, beginning at Marina do Freixo, passing under the six bridges and the iconic Ribeiras of Porto, reaching the river’s mouth and returning.
