Wonderful Douro River Cruise Experience - On this day, we embarked on an eight-hour Douro River Cruise aboard the Rota Do Douro. Upon boarding, we were welcomed with a light breakfast featuring freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, and pastries. Once breakfast was enjoyed, the vessel set sail up the Douro River, passing beneath several bridges in Porto and continuing onward for approximately three hours. During the journey, lunch was served, which included squash soup followed by a main course of rice, boiled potatoes, vegetables, and pork loin, all complemented by a fine bottle of red wine. At our assigned table, we were joined by a friendly couple from Toronto, and we enjoyed sharing our meal and conversation with them. As the morning fog and clouds dissipated, the remainder of our cruise was blessed with beautiful sunshine. The views along the Douro were truly spectacular, especially as we entered the renowned wine region and witnessed the stunning terraced vineyards that define the Douro Valley. We took numerous photos and videos to capture the scenic beauty of the landscape. The cruise made a brief stop in Régua to allow passengers to disembark and new ones to board before continuing to Pinhão. Upon arrival at the dock in Pinhão, we transferred to a bus that took us to the Croft Port Winery for the next part of our adventure. Our Douro River cruise was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and provided excellent value, leaving us with wonderful memories of the Douro’s natural and cultural splendors.

Very good - The experience was well worth it. Careful, helpful staff. Good meals. The tour is excellent and well worth it. The attentive guides could have mentioned more details of the visit and the slopes. The afternoon part is useless, which is boring. On board there is a bar but only paid in cash.

Otimo! - Luis Matos was our tour guide and was phenomenal. He was a funny, knowledgeable, personable and very friendly man who made our tour the most enjoyable it could have been. He picked up and dropped us off at our hotel, he made sure the hosts at the wineries had gluten free meals for my wife(celiac) and also pregnant so he notified them of this as well which was nice because they then offered her juice and water instead on the tours. Not to mention hes one of the most experienced drivers I've ever witnessed drive. The tour in general excluding Luis was also phenomenal. Both the wineries were stunning with great tasting wine... and I am no wine drinker, I am a beer drinker. The views were fantastic (we had great weather). And the river cruise was a lovely way to transition between the 2 wineries. 5 stars. Would recommend to anyone.

Must-see and must do! - Very nice day animated with enthusiasm by Licinio and our driver Manuel. The KOPKE winery guide is also very professional. The landscapes are beautiful.
