• Se de Braga - Our journey begins with a visit to Braga’s Sé Cathedral. The construction was ordered by Teresa de Leão (Portugal’s first king’s mother) back in the 11th century. So we can say, it’s the oldest, and no doubt one of the prettiest!
  We will have a guided tour of the Main church, Piedade chapel, and external areas in the 1st vortex of the triangle of faith.
  Optionally, a full guided tour of all chapels attached to the cathedral and the choir/museum is available.
• Bom Jesus Funicular - A UNESCO World Heritage site since 2019, this set of stairways and basilica creates an impressive sight and detail that is worth the visit.
  This is another vortex of the faith triangle that stands about 6km from the city center and offers a great view of the city and a chance to connect with nature.
• Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sameiro - The 3rd vortex of the triangle of faith stands in the highest part of the hill next to Braga. From there we can get an astonishing 360º view. Adding to that, we will discover all the history and heritage since the 18th-century foundation and all the mystical surrounding area.
• Mosteiro de Sao Martinho de Tibaes - A wonderful architectural complex from the 17th century, including the church, cross, former monastery/museum, and stunning vast gardens.
• Braga - Braga holds the title of “Portuguese Rome”. This is due to the fact that it has the largest number of religious buildings per square meter.
  We won’t be able to visit all of them, but we will pass by some of the most notable ones in its historic center.

Over the last millennium, the city has become the most significant reference for the Catholic religion in this region. It served as the headquarters for archbishops and boasts (arguably) the most beautiful cathedral in Portugal. In addition to its religious significance and numerous churches and chapels, the city features two sanctuaries on nearby hills, one cathedral, and many historic monasteries and clergy palaces that are worth exploring in detail. This tour is designed to visit and learn about these magnificent architectural works, which are landmarks of the Catholic religion in the area.
