We took the Mount st Helen tour with Jeff on 10/23 and he shared this knowledge, insights and love for the area to our group. The also the snippets of commentary during the blast and afterwards from people in the area it added an emotional perspective to the tour and the immensity of the events enfolding when the mountain blew. If you are looking for a small trip tour with a knowledgeable and thoughtful guide I’d recommend this tour.
Our tour was excellent. Jeff is incredibly knowledgeable and organized a perfect day given that the weather at the mountain in afternoon was not going to be cooperative. We came away from the day immersed and fascinated by the stories of the eruption and grateful to have seen and learned so much before the rain started and visibility became poor. Highly recommended.
The tour was awesome in all respects. Jeff was very knowledgable and had fascinating information to share. He picked us up when he said he would, was flexible by adapting the order of events to take advantage of the weather; provided telescopes for us to see details on the mountain. Just overall excellent.
Above beyond and over the top. Plus several difficult ornery folks on board, that he handled with diplomacy and tact.
Travel guide was very knowledgeable about the area and especially regarding Mt St Helens. He brought pictures and handouts that gave us the knowledge we needed to full appreciate the gravity of the volcanic blast site and the Beaty of the area.
The guide is really an enthusiastic and loveable person and knows virtually everything about volcanos, geology, ecology... and Mount St Helens of course ! It takes you as close as he can to the Mountain and stops at the best spots ever along the way, to admire nature and the volcanoe. Don't forget to bring your cameras ! The view worth it. With the guide's scopes you can observe the smoke gushes from the craters ! He is a good story teller and takes you back to the days before, during and after the eruption of 1980. He makes many stops and take you to museum, exhibition and events if there are any. The last time, he even paid for us to enter the museum. We spent a wonderful day there.
