With daily visits exceeding 26,000, it stands as the city’s most frequented location. The Square features the granite Waterfall Fountain, sixteen classical columns adorned with carved yellow roses and pink-and-green spotted bugs, and two brick amphitheaters for event seating. Additionally, visitors may be interested in the Portlandia Statue and Voodoo Donut.
- International Rose Test Garden - A hallmark of the city, this garden is nestled in the scenic Washington Park. As Portland’s largest official rose garden, it boasts over 10,000 roses, including more than 650 varieties. From May to October, visitors can enjoy the beautiful blooms, delightful fragrances, and stunning views of downtown and Mount Hood.
- Northwest (Nob Hill) - The area around the chic Northwest 23rd Avenue is a haven for excellent shopping and dining. Known as Nob Hill or the Alphabet District, this neighborhood features century-old Victorian and Craftsman-style storefronts with unique boutiques alongside national retailers, coffee shops, and trendy restaurants and bars, making it a shopper’s paradise.
- Pearl District - This former warehouse district, with its loading docks and cobblestone streets, hints at its past while stylish bars and modern lofts signal its future.
