• Willamette Valley - The journey will take us through the Willamette Valley en route to and from Portland, where we’ll pass by Pinot Noir vineyards, hazelnut orchards, marionberry fields, and Christmas tree farms.
• Tillamook State Forest - The drive will lead us through the Tillamook State Forest between Portland and Tillamook.
• Tillamook Creamery - A stop at the Tillamook Cheese Factory will allow us to sample cheese and observe the mass-production cheese-making process.
• Tillamook Air Museum - Located in a WWII-era blimp hangar, the Tillamook Air Museum is the largest clear-span wooden structure in the world. We’ll pause for a photo opportunity of the exterior.
• Cape Meares Lighthouse - This 1890s lighthouse offers stunning views to the south and north. It features an 800-year-old Sitka spruce, the largest in Oregon and the 10th largest in the world.
• Three Capes Scenic Drive - The journey along the Three Capes Scenic Drive includes stops at Cape Meares and Cape Kiwanda. Along the way, we’ll see Tillamook Hangar B, the Cape Meares Lighthouse, the Three Arch Rocks, Cape Outlook, the Sandlake dunes, Chief Kiawanda Rock, and the Great Dune of Cape Kiwanda.
• Sandlake Recreation Area - The drive will take us through the sand dunes between Cape Outlook and Cape Kiwanda.
• Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area - Known for its sculpted sandstone, tidal pools, and the fourth tallest offshore monolith in the world, Cape Kiwanda is one of the most stunning locations along the Oregon Coast. Visitors can also slalom down the tallest sand dune on the Oregon Coast, standing at 240 ft (73 m).
• Neskowin Beach - Enjoy time at the enchanting Neskowin Beach, where Proposal Rock offers a romantic spot for proposals. At low tide, the Neskowin Ghost Forest, rich with history, may be visible.
• Proposal Rock - Spend time at the magical Neskowin Beach, where Proposal Rock provides a romantic setting for proposals. At low tide, the Neskowin Ghost Forest, with its historical tales, may be revealed.
• Cape Lookout State Park - This park is the site of a WWII B-17 Flying Fortress crash.

This one-day journey takes you through the rough stretches of Oregon’s north coast. There may be one or two halts in towns, with numerous stops at headlands and beaches. The itinerary consists of a brief trek through the ancient Sitka spruce forest, time on the beach, tide pools (subject to the tides), sea stacks, stops for breathtaking views, and a meal break in a picturesque coastal town. If the group shows interest, stops at places with significant technological history such as the Tillamook Air Museum and/or Tillamook Cheese Factory may be included.
