- Tom McCall Waterfront Park - Journey through the heart of Chinatown to Tom McCall Waterfront Park, where our first stop is the Japanese American Historical Plaza for a touch of history and a view of the evolving cityscape.
- Eastbank Esplanade - As the tour continues, participants will enjoy world-class bike paths and stunning views of the Portland skyline along the USA’s longest floating bike and walkway.
- OMSI - Riding along the Eastbank, we pass the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, where a brief overview of this historic museum is provided.
- Tilikum Crossing - Meandering along the Willamette River, we cross the bridge named after the Chinook word for “of the people.” From the top, enjoy views of local volcanoes Mt. Hood and the renowned Mt. St. Helens.
- Portland State University - After crossing the Willamette, we head to Portland State University to explore the Park Blocks. If it’s the Saturday 10am tour, you’ll experience the grandeur of Oregon’s Largest Farmers Market.
- Portland Art Museum - Continuing through Portland’s expertly designed city layout and bike infrastructure, we roll into the Arts District, home to the Portland Art Museum, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, and The Oregon Historical Society.
- Powell’s City of Books - Our ride takes us into the heart of Portland’s core. Central to Portland culture, we highlight the world’s largest independently owned bookstore, a five-story city block filled with books, maps, and gifts!
- Pearl District - Our penultimate stop is the Pearl District, one of Portland’s finest and newest neighborhoods. Discover how this former collection of rundown warehouses transformed into today’s cultural hub of craft beer and art.
- Old Town - Finally, we return to our bike shop in Old Town. Since 2008, Cycle Portland has been offering bike rentals and tours. Additionally, we’re a beer and wine bar featuring quirky socks and a life-size statue of a naked biker, designed by Wyden and Kennedy of “Just do it” Nike fame.
