Great historical tour! - Loved the trolley tour. Learned so much in a short time about the city of Portland. The only down fall for us is we did not do until toward the end of our trip. Would highly recommend to do as early in your trip to Portland as you can. The driver we had knew his way around the city and shared tips such as cheap parking which would have been a great thing to know early on. You could tell the driver was a long time citizen of the Portland area and enjoyed sharing his knowledge. The trolley was very clean and comfortable. I booked on line for a group of 5, easy to check in and get on the trolley. Would highly recommend as part of your stay in Portland.

Touring Maine with our Granddaughter - The tour was the perfect introduction to our first trip to Maine! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and presented an historical perspective that we would have missed on our own. The extended time at the lighthouse was perfect! Thank you!

Really enjoyed seeing the... - Really enjoyed seeing the lighthouse and learning about the role Portland played in the Underground Road. I also appreciated how the tour guide took a little extra time show the area where they store lobster in the large tankers, along with seeing the lobster boats.

Could have been a 5 star tour - While this tour covered interesting history of Portland and the light house, we could not hear the guide so we missed a lot. When we took our seats in the front portion of the bus with a divider behind us, we had no idea the heater blower was below my seat. This was so loud I could only hear part of what the guide was saying. My husband had the aisle seat so had a bit of an advantage. Not sure how the driver was not aware of this and even though he was constantly looking in his mirror at the riders in front (including us), he either was oblivious or didn't care that my husband was repeating everything he said y to me. When we got off at the light house, we mentioned this to him and he turned it off and the temperature in the bus was just fine without it. Not sure why they would even have such a loud blower on a tour bus. Lastly, I am sure there is a lot of history and stories of the city the driver could have told instead of the time talking about his family and books he wrote. Felt a little self promoting.
