This was a fantastic and... - This was a fantastic and easy way to see the city and historic sites that I otherwise would not have seen. I actually purchased the year long subscription to use on my other trips!

Walking Tour Education - The really nice thing about the tour is that since it is self-guided you can go at your own pace, going slower or faster as needed. You can also repeat areas if you like. This was our first self-guided walking tour through Viator and I believe that as we use it in the future it will become easier and more second nature.

A great way to see the Old Port - Easy to follow route. There are some slight upgrades but nothing strenuous. A lot of good historical context. Holy Donut is not to be missed. It was easy to pause the tour and stop at Bard Coffee for a macchiato and bathroom break, then pick up where we left off. Since the tour ends near Commercial St, it was an easy walk to the Portland Lobster Co for a late lunch. It was a great way to spend a few hours and see an interesting part of the city.

Portland self guided walking tour fun and informational - We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Portland. The content was fun and informational. We know now for future tours we will take our earbuds to make it easier to walk and listen. The "in app" map was very helpful, since street signs seem almost non-existent on the first part of the tour. It was also nice to be able to pause the tour to take extra time to explore.

Overall good. - It was good. Informative overall but a few landmarks weren’t there anymore. Good historical information. I’d still recommend it though.

It was a great... - It was a great experience. I enjoyed learning the history of Old Port. The lighthouse was not there, so an updated tour would be nice. Overall, very well organized.

Easy way to learn about Portland as you walk - This audio tour was an excellent way for the two of us to see places in Portland that we may not have noticed otherwise, and included very good context and historical information. It was a very cold day, and it was extremely helpful that we could still navigate and listen while my phone stayed in my pocket. The verbal instructions about where to go next (which way to turn, etc.) were very easy to follow. (The only hitch was the statue of the lighthouse, which can no longer be found at 234 Federal St. - although Google still listed it as being there. I just submitted an edit to Google.) The length of the tour was also good, with flexibility to start and stop, go inside somewhere, etc. We downloaded the tour to one phone, and each of us used one of my airpods.

a novel way of exploring - While we saw a lot of Portland and heard interesting historical facts, we found it hard to follow the directions at times having to rely on Google maps to find the next location.
