Whale watching - Unfortunately we did not get to see the humpback whale, but we did see a couple minks, a couple clown fish and a handful of sharks. Our captain and first mate were great. Would do it again.

My Experience - This was a great experience! There was a group of women who were having a girl trip and everytime they saw a tail they would scream and chant “Tail, Tail, Tail” then once the tail breached the water they would celebrate. They were also cracking jokes left and right. It was very high energy and fun. There was a cute family as well, a young woman and her grandparents and it was lovely watching them interact while hearing the grandpa asking about great white sharks. And this family all had amazing hair. Great genetics! Then there was a couple next to me who was celebrating the wife’s 30th birthday. They were incredibly sweet and kind. The tour guide is currently a marine biologist college student and he was impressed that we saw a whale within 20 min of the tour. She kept breaching the water it was a humpback whale and she was gorgeous. He was very knowledgeable of historical landmarks as well. Our boat driver was a kind man who definitely knew how to drive that speedboat. If you like a bit of action in your experiences this would be it. We saw another whale watching boat and they had to stay further away from the whale. But because we were on a speedboat we were able to be closer. The tour also took us to a another location where we saw two types of seal. The experience was fantastic half because of what we saw but also because of the people. So make it lovely. For everyone if you book. Bring your personalities and engage. It makes it four times better. But also if you are like me quiet and doing this trip to (move on from someone) then there are great quiet moments too. As the boat is speeding across the water and you just observe the landscapes slowly disappearing from view. Hear the rushing water and the cool breeze. It can be whatever you want to make it. Definitely coming back and bringing friends. The experience was beyond worth it. A fantastic memory.

FAST RIDE/FUN RIDE - This adventure was so much more than we expected -- the boat goes FAST and BUMPY. It was a wavy day, and we sped over the waves for 1.5 hours to get to good viewing areas.

It was a great day even... - It was a great day even though we didn't see any whales. The seating is a little rough for 3.5 hours but I loved being right on the water

Not a pleasure cruise, but an adventure. - The boat was not what I expected. It was a rubber raft with roller coaster style seats. Very crampt and you had to hold on for your life, so it felt very adventurous. We did see a whale. The Captain and the tour guide seemed to not like each other so that made it weird.

I thought the tour guides... - I thought the tour guides were great. I just was dissappointed that we didn't get so see more whale activity. They can't control that, I realize that.

Didn’t see any whales... - Didn’t see any whales which was not the fault of the tour. Basically it was a very long boat ride, 60miles out and back. Very little talking. Captain wasn’t the most pleasant guy . Neil the guide was nice.

Whale watch was cancelled with minimal notice - Trip was canceled by company for “rough seas”. It was a clear day and nothing forecasted. We were called after traveling 2.5 hours and were 5 minutes away. I got a feeling it was really cancelled because they did not have enough bookings. There was no warnings or information available indicating “rough seas”

Not a Great Memory - Garrett was a great help and tour guide, but the driver of the boat, Matt, was hateful, impatient and disrespectful. Prepare to be completely drenched in a white water raft, super cold, and we didn’t see a single whale. 1 of of 10 and would not recommend.

Cancelled but others going ahead - Shocking request this. We received email the day before to tell us our trip was cancelled due to poor weather. After confirming this we requested and subsequently received a refund. However when we went into Portland on the day of our intended trip, another tour company were offering whale sightseeing trips !!!!!?! But had no available spaces. So so disappointing.
