• Our Lady of Victories (The Portland Soldiers and Sailors Monument) - The tour commences at the tall Monument Square clock, opposite Longfellow Books. Visitors will admire the beautiful Monument Square, home to the Our Lady of Victories Monument, the most significant public artwork in Portland. This monument was erected to honor the soldiers and sailors who perished in the Civil War. At this site, travelers can also closely observe the towering Time and Temperature building, known as one of Portland’s haunted landmarks, where spirits are rumored to wander the halls and ride the elevators.
• Maine Historical Society - The guide will lead visitors to the grounds of the childhood home of 1800s poet Henry Longfellow Wadsworth. During the Longfellow and Wadsworth families’ residence, the home witnessed at least six deaths. Both tour guides and visitors have reportedly seen the ghost of Henry Longfellow Wadsworth here.

• McLellan-Sweat House - Now part of the Portland Museum of Art, the McLellan House is one of the city’s oldest homes. Built in 1801 during Portland’s “Golden Age,” this grand Federal-style mansion has witnessed over two centuries of history. It has been owned and inhabited by several prominent Portland families over the years. Tour participants will hear tales of ghosts seen and heard enjoying elegant balls from decades past. Some say it resembles Disney’s Haunted Mansion in real life.
• Portland Fire Museum - Travelers will learn about the Great Portland Fire of 1866, which was the worst fire in American history at the time.
• 131 State St - The Gould house was once home to a doctor with questionable morals. Today, this historic residence is an apartment building where residents and their pets have experienced eerie occurrences in their daily lives.
