Setting Sail on a Family Adventure

As a travel writer and a mother of three, I am always on the lookout for experiences that are both educational and fun for the whole family. Our recent trip to Portimão, Portugal, was no exception. It was a beautiful and unexpected surprise that delighted us all.

David’s stories about the Wine Cave, once used for smuggling, added an element of mystery and intrigue to our adventure. The sunlight streaming through the natural hole in the rock created an otherworldly glow, making it a serene and magical place to visit.

A Day to Remember

Our journey continued past the breathtaking Praia da Marinha, renowned for its golden cliffs and crystal-clear waters. We also spotted several other beaches and high-class villas along the way, each more beautiful than the last. The opportunity to dive into the open sea was presented, but I must admit, I hesitated. My kids, however, were braver and took the plunge, enjoying the refreshing dip in the warm weather.
