Awesome day on the GBR with ABC safaris - We had a really great day with ABC Reef Safaris. We got our scuba diving itch scratched but also we were able to enjoy some snorkelling with our son. And enjoy the beauty that is the great barrier reef which is awesome. The boat was gorgeous and very comfortable. The food was great. The staff were lovely. The equipment was really good quality. We can not fault a thing. It was a fabulous day!

Great Barrier Reef Snorkel - It was such a great experience! Special shoutout to Mabel - she’s very knowledgeable on everything sea related and was an incredible guide! Will recommend to anyone who comes visit The Great Barrier Reef to do this tour.

An amazing day on the GBR - ABC Reef Safaris provided a world class experience from start to finish. A prompt hotel pickup, crew welcome and introduction to their spacious new boat with many comfortable inside and outside seating options, a wonderful overview of the day’s itinerary, a team of marine biologists to explain the GBR reef and sea life we were likely to encounter, top notch suits and snorkeling equipment and delicious fresh mornings snacks and lunch. All made for a perfect day…with Mother Nature providing blue skies and calm seas. Our trip’s 15 passengers were divided into three snorkeling groups and we were fortunate to be paired with Zoe, one of their marine biologists who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our first snorkeling session was on Chinaman Reef at the Turtle Block…where we saw spectacular reef formations, many colorful fish, a white-tipped reef shark and four Green Sea Turtles. We were lucky enough to be able to watch one surface, breathe and swim for quite a ways. After a delicious lunch, our second snorkeling session was across the reef at Thunderdome. This area had coral formations and fish that were noticeably larger in size…and we saw a lobster tucked back into a crevice, a resting cuttlefish and a huge pineapple sea cucumber. Zoe showed us things we never would have noticed on our own, often diving down to point something out and took time to explain them to those close by…all while keeping an eye on the group to make sure nobody strayed too far. ABC Reef Safaris made our once-in-a-lifetime trip to the GBR a fantastic experience! Hats off to Captain Gallagher, Nico, Marie, Mabel and Zoe.

Grand tour of the reef - An amazing tour of the Great Barrier Reef. The boat was brand new and very comfortable. All the crew were very helpful and friendly. Our guide, Zoe, a marine biologist, was very knowledgeable and passionate. The food on the boat was excellent. We went to two reefs with no other tours and the reefs were stunning with beautiful coral. We saw reef sharks, green sea turtles, lobster, cuttlefish, and many other reef fish. Overall an excellent day. Thank you!

Fantastic, safe and comfortable - Highly recommend. Wonderful, safe boat. My wife was worried about safety before the experience, but was very comfortable throughout, mostly because the boat was clearly secure and we had the close attention /protection of an expert diver for the four of us as we went into the water. And the ABC folks went above and beyond to care for us, feed us, train us, and help us get to our plane on time. Many, many thanks for a spectacular day, to Maria, Mabel, Nico, Zoe and the rest of the crew. Good on you!!!

Boutique Reef Experience Done Right! - We had an outstanding snorkelling day with ABC Reef Safaris yesterday. The staff were incredible, passionate about what they do, genuinely kind, and really interesting people to spend the day with. They were attentive without being overbearing and made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. The boat was new, comfortable, and well set up, which made everything easy from start to finish (including amazing snacks and a phenomenal lunch). Snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef was stunning, and what truly sets ABC Reef Safaris apart is how different the experience feels compared to the bigger and busier tour companies. This is a true boutique-style trip, with smaller groups and quieter reef spots including locations that other operators don’t visit. If you’re looking for a laid-back, high-quality reef experience away from the crowds, I can’t recommend them enough. We’d absolutely go with them again if we had been in town longer.

We Got Sooo Seasick - But It Was Amazing - It had been a week of pretty bad weather in Port Douglas, but the day of our sail on ABC was sunny, warm, and beautiful--although the sea was somewhat choppy. During the course of the day my wife and I both got seasick, but still had the most amazing experience. The boat was modern and well-maintained with two restrooms. Snacks and lunch were provided--they even had special vegetarian food for us. All the equipment seemed to be new: masks, fins, and stinger suits. There were only about 15 of us on the excursion with a staff ration of 4:1. The staff was OUTSTANDING: Canu, Mabel, Will, and (forgot the 4th one) were so nice and especially helpful when we were not feeling well. The snorkels were long (1.25 hours) but you can head back to the boat earlier. We did not feel cheated at all. Scuba divers can participate too. And, of course, the reef! We saw so many different kinds of coral and fish--and even a small shark! It was breathtaking...but we had our snorkel so we were ok. We saw other boats that had much larger numbers of people. This is definitely the way to see the reef. Kudos to ABC for making it an unforgettable day.

One of the best snorkelling tours - One of the best snorkeling tours and we've been to a lot of places. The small group experience on the Voyager was very personal. The captain and crew were welcoming and informative. The snorkeling was guided and the crew member, Mabel, was very good at pointing out the interesting things on the reef. The boat had easy on/off access into the water. The food was enough and well presented. We saw so many fish and even sharks and tons of different types of coral and claws. We highly recommend this tour.

Royal snorkel - Great experience from start to finish. Perfect snorkel sites without crowds. A personal guide snorkels with you and points out interesting spots and fish. We saw sharks and turtles too.

An incredible snorkel... - An incredible snorkel experience! The crew were knowledgeable and super friendly. The boat was brand new and very comfortable, and the smaller passenger count delivered a more personal touch. We also did a different trip on a much larger boat with another outfitter and can definitely say that ABC’s more intimate experience is worth the splurge. Lunch was also very good!
