Spectacular views !! - Great tour, pick up at hotel in Funchal. Small Group, excellent Quality gear which made the tour very doable for all ages and conditions. Guide is local and very knowledgeable and keeps close eye on his group. The tour does not go off road though right through nature with spectacular views and hight differences.

MUST DO! - This was a great experience, we got picked up from our hotel and taken to the start point the guide was great, very kind and knowledgeable. This is really an activity for all ages and all abilities. The bikes were great!! All round highly recommend this tour, you’ll see some amazing This and see some amazing things!

Fantastic bike ride - We did a ride on the north side of the island and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and vegetation ,we can’t recommend this tour enough if you want to see the landscape with the aid of a e bike for the hills

Exhilarating panoramic ride in the SW hills - We were fortunate to end up with a private tour with Financio who picked us up at the cruise port and dropped us downtown. As it was raining in the north our route was changed to the southwest. Financio shared a wealth of info about Madeira and led us UP a scenic road with pano views of the terraced agricultural valleys and out to sea. E-bikes were made for a gradual climb like this, and the bikes provided were top notch, making the effort just enough to get some exercise but without getting exhausted. At the summit was a pano view out toward Funchal, where we stopped for a coffee and WC. I’m an experienced cyclist though not a fan of long downhills on unfamiliar roads, but this descent wasn’t bad, I actually enjoyed it and the vistas it afforded. There was moderate slow traffic but they were courteous. The last drop down to Ribeira Brava was steeper but worth it to be able to ride a mile long pretty seaside bike path. We opted not to ascend the next mountain from there, we were satisfied with what we had already done and wanted time to explore Funchal in our one port day. A great experience, thank you!

Brilliant activity - Really recommend this. An excellent way to see a very scenic and beautiful part of Madeira, and really great fun. Learnt lots too.

Amazing! - Our tour guide was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. They took us to some hidden local gems that we would have never discovered on our own. The views along the way were incredible, especially at the top, it was definitely worth the climb!! We even stopped for a coffee break at a charming spot along the way, which was a perfect touch. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the area in a unique and memorable way with a bit of adventure!

Wonderful ride - My husband and I had a great time! The areas we rode were beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable about the areas we toured.

Excellent but pricey - The guide was excellent and so was the tour. I did pay over £60 which I thought was a little on the high side for a half day cycle ride.

Fresh air and Fantastic scenery - We had 3 x fantastic e-bike tours with Madeira Island Route during our holiday - The North, The West and an improvised East tour (due to poor weather at the original tour site). The scenery and views were amazing in all 3 rides and the length of the rides was perfect (half day). The e-bikes were powerful (you do still have to pedal though!). Venancio is a fabulous guide - he speaks excellent English, shares interesting facts about the island, paces the rides just right, is considerate of comfort breaks and takes you to some great cafes! The company is very responsive to queries, the tours are easy to book and well priced. We were even picked up from our hotel which was outside of Funchal. Excellent all round - Thank you :)

Don’t miss this opportunity!!$ - We so enjoyed cycling on the Northern side of the island. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the island. The e-bikes helped us traverse up the hills and coming down was a reward in itself. The views were beyond stunning in both directions ! Thank you for a very memorable time!
