Wonderful, relaxing tour. - I booked this the night before we docked and I’m so happy that we did! We saw the beauty of the island, learned a lot about many aspects of the island, and it was very little walking. There were 6 people including my father and me. There was room for maybe 2 more people. It was perfect and he even took my father to the pharmacy while we were at the pineapple plantation. Other people from the ship took the tour on a big bus and said it was rushed because of how many people there were. Highly recommend this for an easy, relaxing tour.

Perfect introduction to the island by a true insider - Joao is a wonderful guide. His positive and charming attitude and his love for his home is contagious. He had no hesitation to adapt the tour to the weather conditions and our preferences. Also, he knows a lot of secret, less frequented spots and was able to provide us with breathtaking panoramas. Wonderful half day tour of San Miguel - We had a wonderful experience. It was just us and our Tour Guide. He answered all of our many questions. He is knowledgeable and passionate about his home and he should be. San Miguel is a beautiful island. He organized the tour in a way that we hit the highlights before the large tour buses showed up. This tour was well worth the time and price. - This tour was well worth the time and price. This Half-Day Tour of the Seven Cities on San Miguel Island turned out to be private! I was the only tour member who showed up. It was great. Joao was a very good guide, he was born and raised on São Miguel Island, his family farms dairy cows there. Joao has comprehensive knowledge of São Miguel Island, its geography, history, and industry but also much more than that: He is very up-to-date with current events, and with viewing those through the prism of history. Joao was warm and friendly and a great conversationalist. I came away from this tour with a good understanding of São Miguel Island and its central place in the historical development of the Azores. My appreciation of São Miguel Island’s geography, history and industry was heightened by observations Joao shared with me, about their historical origins, and their cultural and political significance. Wonderful tour, Wonderful guide! - John was a wonderful tour guide. He knows his home very well. We were late getting off our cruise ship but he waited and we had a great time! It was foggy most of the day but that did not stop us from seeing how beautiful Ponta Delaga is. We would recommend John and jrazorestours anytime you are in the area.
