• Miradouro do Pico do Carvao - Begin the journey by driving up to the caldera’s wall via an inner road of the island. Pause at a viewpoint to admire both the north and south coastlines, along with the expansive hills and volcanic formations of São Miguel.

• Muro Das Nove Janelas - Explore the ancient Roman-style aqueducts that historically transported fresh water to villages without tap water. Visit two structures, including the popular Nine Windows wall of Sete Cidades, a favorite on social media.

• Lagoa do Canario - Venture into a secluded lagoon encircled by trees. Lagoa do Canário can be viewed from select access points. The lush Cryptomeria vegetation and high humidity create an atmosphere reminiscent of an enchanted forest.

• Miradouro da Boca do Inferno - Enjoy an easy walk through the natural park of Lagoa do Canario to the Boca do Inferno viewpoint. Here, admire the valleys around the Sete Cidades volcano, the Blue and Green lagoons, and the village of Sete Cidades. At approximately 700 meters above sea level, there’s much to appreciate. (A moderate level of physical fitness is required due to a steep climb to the viewpoint.)

• Vista do Rei Miradouro - Take in the expansive views of Sete Cidades’ green and blue lagoons from the King’s View viewpoint. Learn about the history of the abandoned hotel in ruins and the legend of the lagoons. We’ll pause at a quieter spot before reaching the popular viewpoint.

• Lagoa de Santiago - Descend into the caldera via the Hydrangeas Road! Depending on the season, enjoy the lush hydrangea bushes lining the road. Stop at another viewpoint to see the Santiago lagoon from above.

• Caldeira das Sete Cidades - Make a brief stop at the bridge dividing the Green and Blue lagoons of Sete Cidades. Capture a quick photo for lasting memories.

• Sete Cidades - Enjoy a local food buffet lunch prepared in the Azorean style. Delight your taste buds with regional cuisine, offering meat, fish, and vegetarian options at a family-owned local restaurant. (Starter, Main Course, Drink, Dessert, and Coffee included)

• Lagoa Verde / Lagoa das Sete Cidades - Stroll around a section of the blue lagoon of Sete Cidades to aid digestion and reconnect with nature’s tranquility.

• Sete Cidades - Explore the village of Sete Cidades, visit the local tea house, or admire one of the few beautiful neo-gothic churches on the island.

• Miradouro da Ponta do Escalvado - Ascend to the top of a cliff at the westernmost point of São Miguel to enjoy views of Mosteiros and its islets. Learn about the story of the missing Azorean island and discover points of interest in the area.

• Mosteiros Beach - Descend into Mosteiros, a fajã formation, featuring a vast coast of dark rock formations, a beach with a unique view of the Mosteiros islets, and natural pools formed by lava flows. Optional swimming is available (conditions apply).
