Setting the Scene at Ponce Inlet

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for unique experiences that can bring families closer together. When I heard about the Beach Campfire Experience at Ponce Inlet, I knew it was something my family and I had to try. The idea of a hassle-free beach campfire, complete with a fully lit firepit and cozy Adirondack chairs, sounded like the perfect way to spend an evening by the shore.

We arrived at Winterhaven Park just as the sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in shades of pink and orange. The location was ideal, with free on-site parking making it easy for families to access. As we made our way to the beach, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore set the tone for a relaxing evening.

A Night to Remember

The campfire was already set up when we arrived, with an attendant on-site to manage the fire. This meant we could focus on enjoying the experience without any of the usual hassles of starting and maintaining a fire. The kids were thrilled to see the optional add-ons available, like s’mores and gourmet hot dogs. We opted for the s’mores, and watching the kids roast marshmallows over the fire was a highlight of the evening.

As the night went on, we decided to try the glow-in-the-dark bocce. It was a fun and unique twist on a classic game, and it kept the kids entertained for hours. The combination of the glowing balls and the sound of the ocean made for a magical experience that we won’t soon forget.
