Octavia is a character who lived nearly 2,000 years ago. As the sun rises over Vesuvius, she begins to relive her final hours before the eruption: searching for her husband in the Forum, safeguarding her daughter, and fleeing through streets soon to be buried forever.

This self-guided adventure leads participants on a journey through the ruins of Pompeii. By using the Questo app on a smartphone, participants can follow Octavia’s narrative across 14 stops: from the Forum and the Temple of Jupiter, through the House of the Faun and the Thermopolium, to the plaster casts of the Hortus of the Fugitives and the Amphitheatre.
