A-MA-ZING Day and Tour Guide. Must do! - Our tour guide, Giovani, was excellent. Not only was the tour on time, van new and clean, driver great, but Giovani had answers to any and all questions. He was very knowledgeable and clearly loves Herculeum and Pompeii. Pick up was at 9:45am (there were 12 of us on the tour) and we were back at Naples Central Station by 4:30pm. We went to Herculeum first. In my opinion, Herculeum is a must, and not to be skipped. It is a much smaller site than Pompeii with more intact frescoes and mosaics. We spent ~90 minutes there, and then our guide took us to a mall where we had 45 minutes to get lunch. It was nice to have a break and fuel up for Pompeii. We then arrived at Pompeii, which is huge, where we spent ~90+ minutes. The highlight was walking an elevated ramp above an active dig/restoration. Amazing. Highly recommend Asko tours, and Giovani.

Excellent Tour!! - Visiting Pompeii and Herculaneum have always been a bucket list visit, and this tour did not disappoint. Raphael was a great guide, very knowledgeable. I would do this tour again, it was that informative.

Book this tour!!! See both Pompeii and Herculaneum! - Our guide, Gennaro, was excellent — incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history of both Pompeii and Herculaneum. He kept the group moving at a comfortable pace while making sure we saw all the highlights and understood what we were looking at.
Our driver, Stavolo (spelling?), was also fantastic — calm, professional, and made the transportation between Naples, Pompeii, and Herculaneum smooth and stress-free. The van was comfortable, and it was such a relief not to worry about logistics between the sites.
We had about an hour for lunch, stopping at a nearby mall with a food court offering plenty of choices for everyone.
The overall length of the tour was perfect — not too long, not too short — and visiting both Pompeii and Herculaneum in one day felt very doable and worthwhile.
I’m usually a DIY traveler, but I’m so glad I chose a guided tour for these sites. Having Gennaro’s insights made the ruins come alive — without a guide, it would be easy to miss so much of the fascinating context and detail. Highly recommend this tour!

A fabulous tour - I did the small group English tour from Naples to Herculaneum and Pompeii today and it was superb. Our guide for the day, the archaeologist Michele Lamberti, is probably the best guide I have ever had. An absolute professional , so knowledgeable about the sites, so well able to communicate information expertly, so interesting and so proficient at managing a group with kindness and skill. I cannot say enough good things about him. A fabulous tour. And the driver, Giovanni, was a pure delight and lovely person. So highly recommended.

Go and see - I recently joined a tour led by a guide named Michael, and he was great! Communication was smooth, and he always gave us a clear outline of what to expect at each step, which was really reassuring. The itinerary was well-balanced—relaxed yet thorough. We got to visit all the key spots, and the explanations were detailed and engaging. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
