Amazing day - We had a great day to Polonnaruwa and the Hurulu eco park all seamlessly organised by Ushan at Haven Lanka tours, kept us updated beforehand and we couldn't ask for more. Kavishka our driver was on-time and drove safely to both places , the safari was excellent we saw at least 20 elephants as they went to the lake to bathe a really special experience thank you

Wonderful trip from Habarana to Polonuwara - Our Polonnaruwa and Eco Park safari was wonderful. The vehicle to and from Polonowara was clean and comfortable - with A/C - and our driver made the trip seamless. I recommend bringing a wide brimmed hat, a small backpack, four water bottles with electrolytes, binoculars, and a long sleeved sunshirt. The safari was incredible. The company recommended visiting Hurulu Ecopark, instead of Minneyera, as the elephants had migrated toward the Hurulu region. Our guide went on the safari with us, which was helpful as it helped with translation. So much wildlife - birds, water buffalo, and of course, elephants! This tour gave us wonderful memories and showcased the warmth and hospitality of Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

Had a great day & Dinesh was fantastic! - We went on the Polonnaruwa Ruins & Hurulu Safari Tour from Sigiriya. The organisation was seamless, very easy over WhatsApp. Dinesh went so far above and beyond. Arriving early to collect us his thoughtful, kind nature was immediately apparent. On the drive to Polonnaruwa he showed us videos of what to expect as we moved through the site, he made sure we knew exactly where to go and made sure we paid the right amounts for everything. Every time before we moved to the next area he sent through information we could read as we were going around the site and explained along the way anything else we needed to know. He even came and found us when it started raining to give us a huge umbrella so we could finish seeing the site. On the way to the safari he stopped in and got us something to eat, making sure it was vegetarian for us. The safari was a little crazy, many cars funnelling into the park, but once on the inside Pradeep (from Explore Safari Tours, Habarana) took us away from the crowds a bit more and we had a lovely time roaming through the park. We got to see elephants unrestrained, moving around as they like and we appreciated Pradeep driving carefully and respecting the elephants when we did come across them. Dinesh blew us away with his dedication when we realised after dark that we had left a jacket in his car and we were leaving town in the morning. Even though he had a sunrise tour the next morning, he jumped on his bike and rode an hour and a half to get it back to us. He insisted on returning it and we couldn't express enough how grateful we were. Highly recommend!

Excellent tour - combining Sri Lankan culture, history and nature - We had a wonderful experience on our tour today. Dinesh was an excellent driver and guide throughout the day. He was very thoughtful and ensured we were well looked after throughout the day. He ensured that we were well informed ahead of each site, while also ensuring we had flexibility to explore at our own pace. The day was also very well structured. We found Polonnaruwa fascinating and illuminating, learning a lot about Buddhism and Sri Lankan kings from the era. We then went to Hurulu Eco Park on a very well organised safari, and within a few minutes saw multiple elephants and other species. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Recommended - Tour was great, I had booked Minneriya, but our driver from the airport and hotel both said that it wasn’t a good option due to flood damage and the elephants moving. They both recommended Eco Park - the company agreed and were happy to switch. The sites at Polonnaruwa were fantastic, the museum was fairly informative and the driver also showed us a good video on the way. We saw a good portion of the site at a good pace, to maximise the safari time, but it didn’t feel rushed. After a quick stop for ginger beer and fresh corn we drove to Eco Park. The guide was really good at spotting animals and avoiding the worst of the traffic, it was really good just being in the jungle. There are a lot of jeeps, but the Elephants didn’t seem overly concerned and a few even came right up to our jeep, which was amazing. I’d recommend the combined tour, and felt it was pretty good value for money as well.

Awesome tour with informative driver and cool safari - The tour was awesome! Our driver Rashith was super informative, really down to earth guy, who knew all the best spots to take us in Polonnaruwa. Instead of getting a tuk tuk whilst we were there we just drove around the different ruins with him, each time getting out and wandering around each spot (helps on a warm day to be in and out of ac car!). The safari itself was way better than we anticipated it would, not overly crowded with Jeeps in the park itself, and a few times we were even by ourself, sat watching the majestic elephants. For the price we paid and the experience we had, we really couldn’t have asked for more - thanks again Haven Lanka!

Wonderful Experience!!! - Book without hesitation!! We recommend Rashith as a driver. Speed, control of the road, makes you know friendly places. Our day started at 8:30 a.m. at the hotel for a 1-hour drive around. Beautiful and exotic. We arrived at the museum (cut short the people who offer you to be a guide, personally we did not find the use). Watch the museum carefully to understand after your journey. Take pictures in the museum. Access to the museum is about 25€ and opens the door to 3 other sites (keep the ticket because you will need it). Remember to dress obligatorily in pants and short sleeved T-shirt (no tank top, nor shorts is prohibited). Also take a hat and sunscreen. Everything is wonderful in Polonnaruwa. In half a day you've been around. Important if you hesitate to do the activity with bicycles, forget it is too hot and you will waste time. We chose not to have lunch to save time in our day. Don’t forget to bring some crossed protein because at the end of the day I was ko and I had to cut the elephants short. The route to the park. We paid 5120 lkr a derisory rate. 3-4 hours playing hide and seek with elephants. Then at a stroke 1 then 2 then 4. In the end about 20. The driver of the jeep did not hesitate to go to lost corners. We absolutely do not regret having paid 99€ for 2 people. It is a time saver and a wonderful excursion. Thank you very much to rashith and his colleague from the jeep. Good choice - Good experience, our driver Rashith very attentive that everything went well. Time is used to a great extent, especially in commuting. The restaurant took us very well, cleanliness and a lot of variety of food.
