Lovely visit - We loved our little visit today. The cellar door was lovely and Declan was so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The wines were delicious too!

A gem of a winery - We chanced upon this fabulous winery and were so pleased that we had chosen to stop here. The whole experience was fabulous - professional yet friendly, informative and engaging. The wines were absolutely delicious and cleverly paired with a range of tasty cheeses.

A great way to spend time in the Hunter Valley - Spent a great hour or so with Declan of McCaffrey's Estate learning about the lovely wines that his vineyard produces - and tasting them too! He was incredibly informative and a very engaging host. Pokolbin is a beautiful location to visit and we would certainly recommend it for either a stop-over or day-trip.

Amazing winery history.... - Amazing winery history. Excellent wine tasting session with a great selection of wines, and service was great. Unfortunately they sold out of the dessert wine, which I was looking forward to.

Lovely stay in the Hunter Valley - We stayed at McCaffrey’s estate winery for two nights and did a wine tasting on the first. Declan gave us a wonderful overview and tasting of the wines they produce which were delightful. The cottage was perfect and we would thoroughly recommend!

A fabulous time in the vineyard - The wines are excellent. Huge dilemma as to which is the ultimate - Verdhelo, Chardonnay or the Rose. Thank you Declan for a fabulous tasting!

The warm, friendly & intimate experience you’re after! - The quaint location, the fun and friendly McCaffreys made this an experience worth coming back for time and again. They also collaborate with nearby farms to serve and sell a heavenly spread of olives and cheeses. We bought quite a bit to take back home with us (& we’ll be back for more)!

Amazing experience! - Wow! A brilliant experience with Declan and his beautiful vineyard. Our first wine stop in Hunter Valley and we were not disappointed. From Declan’s brilliant knowledge of the wine and area to his personal approach and stories we loved our time during this tasting!! We couldn’t have asked for more and of course the wine itself was 10/10. I was lucky to leave with the beautiful red wine ‘the Whistler’. A must do experience if you are in the area. Thank you again to Declan for making this experience so memorable!!!!

Fabulous tasting experience in great boutique vineyard - We were recommended Mcafferys by the people we hired our bikes from and were not disappointed. We just dropped in and had an amazing experience learning about and tasting wines . Small and perfectly formed. Helene was very knowledgeable and looked attentively after us and shared the story of the vineyard. If you are in the Hunter Valkey stop by !
