• Kuce Rakica on Cijevna - Just 10 to 15 minutes after departing the city, travelers can discover fascinating waterfalls on the Cijevna River and unique rock formations sculpted by river erosion. The Cijevna River begins in Albania and, after emerging from a 1000-meter-deep canyon, creates an intriguing riverbed leading to the Morača River’s mouth. Visitors will walk near the waterfall, taking in views of endless vineyards and towering limestone mountains that are part of both Montenegro and Albania.

• Zabljak Crnojevica - Approximately a half-hour drive from the waterfall near Skadar Lake lies the medieval capital of Montenegro, Zabljak Crnojevica, established in the 15th century on a hill close to Lake Skadar. A gentle walk leads to the fortress, offering stunning panoramic views. The lake, meadows, horses, birds, and domestic animals enhance the experience of Montenegro’s rural areas and the surroundings of Lake Skadar.

• Skadar Lake National Park - Located just 20 minutes from Podgorica, Skadar Lake is the largest lake in the Balkans and a designated national park, recognized as a Ramsar wetland of international importance. It is renowned for its birdlife (around 270 species), fish, water lilies, rich cultural heritage, charming villages, and exceptional Montenegrin wine. Visitors will drive around the lake, enjoying views from scenic viewpoints, with the option of a delightful boat ride among lilies and birds.

• Stari Bar - Old Bar, inhabited since ancient times, is celebrated for its multiculturalism and cultural heritage, with influences from the Illyrians, Greeks, Venetians, Ottomans, and the Byzantine Empire, alongside local residents. Archaeologists aptly refer to it as a research paradise, the Montenegrin Pompeii, uninhabited for a century and a half, and a truly untouched gem. The surrounding cliffs add drama, while the cobbled streets and architectural heritage create an atmosphere that transports visitors to past centuries and different lifestyles.

Visitors will explore the interior among the ancient walls, enjoy views from the citadel’s summit, visit the archaeological museum, and have free time to conclude the day with traditionally served coffee, a beer mixed with wild pomegranate syrup, or another local delicacy.
