Historical Tour Brings Us to New Heights and Flavourful Delights! - Our knowledgeable guide taught us about the precolonial, colonial, and current histories of Huatulco, Santa Maria, Pluma Hidalgo, and Oaxaca. From experiencing the traditional tortilla making experience in Santa Maria, to travelling up the scenic mountains, to walking through the streets of Pluma Hidalgo and touring the coffee plantation and learning about the botany of the area and the process of producing great coffee. This was a full day for us and worth every minute of our precious vacation time.

Great experience and fantastic value!! - This was an amazing day! We cannot say enough good things about it. The tour guide, Hugo, was knowledgeable and made it fun and easy going. The family that welcomed us to the plantation was lovely and the lunch was the best food I’ve had in Mexico. I recommend wearing sneakers for this tour. If you are thinking of going, do it, it is worth every penny, and more!

Superb day at the Coffee Plantation - Review Hugo was an excellent guide who picked us up and dropped us off at our Airbnb. He has a wealth of knowledge of plants n the geography of the region. A very careful driver and spoke more than just about coffee on the way there and back. When we arrived, first had a leisurely coffee at the owner’s home. Next we went to the plantation where the organic coffee is grown. We highly recommend him to be your guide.

Worth the time! Definitely do it! - This was an amazing tour for our family of three, including a teenager! Hugo was a great tour guide and picked us up promptly from our hotel in the morning. We got to see some of Huatulco and hear some of the town history, see a historic church in the town of Santa Maria, and spent the majority of our day in Pluma Hidalgo touring the coffee farm. Don Pablo, the owner of the coffee farm, was so hospitable. We enjoyed an amazing home cooked lunch, got to sample the coffee and the mezcal, and see the process for farming, harvesting and roasting the coffee beans there. Pluma Hidalgo is beautiful and our tour guide Hugo was able to tell us so much about the entire region. After we were done in Pluma Hidalgo, Hugo was able to transport us to our next lodging in Puerto Escondido instead of Huatulco for an extra fee. It was a great trip and very relaxing and fun for our family. We could tell that Hugo was passionate and very knowledgeable about Oaxaca, and we get very safe and cared for the whole time. 10/10 would recommend! It was one of the highlights of our trip.
