  After the guided tour, you will have approximately an hour and a half to explore the city center independently. You can have lunch (at your own expense) or shop along “Glavnata,” the longest pedestrian street in Europe. Enjoy artistic events in the city center as Plovdiv celebrates its title as the European Capital of Culture for 2019. Many tourists enjoy wandering through the Kapana neighborhood, known for its bohemian atmosphere, chic bars, and beautiful graffiti. Plovdiv is renowned for its wine production, and Kapana offers opportunities to sample local red or white wines.
• Plovdiv Roman Theatre - Visit the well-preserved Ancient Theatre of Philipopolis (local fee 4 BGN cash), a magnificent Roman amphitheater in Plovdiv that offers breathtaking views and a glimpse into Bulgaria’s rich history. Entry is optional.
• Ancient Stadium of Philipopolis - The Roman Stadium in Plovdiv is one of the city’s most notable ancient landmarks, constructed in the 2nd century AD during Emperor Hadrian’s reign.
