Interesting and varied walking tour - This was a very interesting and varied walking tour with Dimitari as Marietta was unable to attend. Dimitari was excellent, he spoke English very well, had so much knowledge, not only about the history of Plovdiv but also about the current culture, life in Plovdiv and Bulgaria, and was so considerate to us being from the opposite side of the world. He was also very considerate about the hot temperature of the day and made sure we were kept in the shade and comfortable. This was an excellent, personal and professional tour that we thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone visiting Plovdiv.

Room for improvement - On the day of our tour, which we were very excited for due to circumstances, we got another guide who had several years of experience giving a walking tour of Plovdiv. The guide was very kind and modest and guided us through the old and new part. The tip we want to give is to tell it more anecdotally, to make it a story. Now it was too much like a Wikipedia tour. I and my son think a lot more can be gained from the tour, for example a small stop at a restaurant with a local delicacy (to pay for it yourself), legends from the area, stories to accompany the graffiti images, supporting story with images, etc. We walked through the city ourselves and were at the Waterklok (good tip) along the way we encountered a lot of street art.
