Plovdiv is approximately a 2-hour drive from Sofia, located in the western Thracian Valley. As one of the world’s oldest settlements, its history began around 4,000 BC on three neighboring hills. It boasts preserved Thracian, Roman, and Bulgarian heritage from various eras. In Plovdiv, enjoy a 2-hour guided walking tour through the town’s heart, learning fascinating historical facts and legends while visiting its most intriguing sites. After the tour, there will be about 2 hours of free time for lunch and shopping. The estimated return to Sofia is between 5 pm and 5:30 pm.
