Good guide for a good tour - The guide for this tour, Zeferino, was absolutely amazing. For my wife and me, it was the first time someone introduced us to the fascinating Maya culture, and he did an excellent job. His knowledge, fueled by his passion for the topic, made the experience unforgettable. His effortless ability to switch between Spanish and English to address a mixed audience was truly commendable. I already shared with Zeferino during the tour how impressed we were, but I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate him once again and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone wishing to immerse themselves in an ancient civilization. The ruins of former great cities continue to tell their timeless stories, and Zeferino is the perfect guide to bring them to life.

Amazing day - donât listen to the nay-sayers! - Ignore the negativity! This was an excellent tour. We saw a lot, but didnât feel rushed, and the swim in the cenote was a perfect end to the day. Our guide, Edmundo, was super friendly and knowledgeable, and he went out of his way to ensure everyone had a great experience. It was officially a bilingual tour, but he switched solely to English once he realized everyone on the tour spoke it. Only glitch was the companyâs changing of our date and pick up time - we were lucky to be free on the alternative date, but I assume this wouldnât be the case for everyone. Overall, a great experience đ

Great little day trip and fun guides - We had a great time on this trip. Bring your own water container as the ruins don't allow plastics past the gates. We opted for the drinks and lunch which was amazing and super cold.

Fun day - Have a great day! Although the target group of these activities was a bit older than ourselves, it was certainly a fun day. Both Maya villages are beautiful in their own way. One because of the location and the other because of the beautiful buildings, both somewhat touristy. Our guide knew a lot to tell and was very friendly. The last stop was at a coyote which was a nice addition and refresher.
I would definitely recommend this activity, maybe it would be an idea to do lunch a bit earlier than at 16:00;)

Decent experience, but a bit of a logistical mess - As much as I enjoyed the activities and as much as I appreciate the lengths the tour guide went to to make it a little easier for me to get to where I needed to be, the trip from the very beginning was a logistial nightmare. I didn't know that I wasn't going to be picked up from my hotel until midnight, the night before I was supposed to do the tour despite definitely adding that information through my booking. I ended up having to figure out how to get to the first stop (the Tulum Ruins) on my own the next day and even that was difficult due to the multiple enterences and landmarks in the area, making it hard for the cab to figure out where to drop me off. It also wasn't easy to find the group again after the guided part of that specific ruins was done. I will say that the second stop on the tour (the Coba ruins) went much better and I probably would have liked the cenote if I had stayed on for that part of it. Honestly, in retrospect, I would consider looking at some of the other tours, even if it means having to find my way to another meet point a head of time (many ruins tours seem to not do pick up in the hotel district) just to avoid the stress of struggling to figure out and get to where things are on time.

Pack your patience - Ruins were very cool, but we spent most of the day on the bus. Large group of at least 50 people. Took forever to get everyone met up and finally boarded. The cenote was a little underwhelming for our first one. The lunch buffet was pretty awful. Took two hours to get dropped off once finally back in Playcar, the bus dropped everyone off one by one at the various resorts/hotelsâŠwe were the most northern resort so we were lastâŠLONG day. Pack your patience if you pick this tour.

The English translation was done in between the long explanations in Spanish, so it was hard to follow, it was lacking . - Tulum, Coba and the cenote were very nice .
Wish the tour would be in English only so it would be more informative.

Over promised and under delivered - I was very disappointed with the duration of the visits and the size of the group. First, it advertised 1.5 hours at Tulum and an additional 1.5 hours at Coba. At Tulum we had roughly 40 minutes and at Coba only 70 minutes. Neither was enough to see and appreciate the sites. I had booked with this company for promise of a small group (didnât want to wait for a bus to pick up at different resorts). In the end, we small shuttled to a bus stop in Playa del Carmen where we waited for a full bus to come which we joined, then waited longer for another shuttle to meet us. I feel this company over promised on group size and on the time frame. If they had been accurate I would have booked elsewhere.
The cenote was as promised and very enjoyable.

Donât waste your money - Most of the time was spent on the bus, and the timing was not good. We didnât have lunch until almost 4:30 so we were starving and lunch was not very good. They had miscounted the number of people and had to get a taxi for some people then we were dropped off at a central location where we went into smaller vehicles and my knees were pushed up against the seat in front of me. Iâm only 5â4â so a tall person would really suffer. We also werenât allowed to bring plastic water bottles into Tulum, no one told us until we got there and it was almost 2 hours in the hot sun without anything to drink. Since we got a confirmation email the day before it would have been nice if we were told so we would have brought a reusable one. Our guide was very nice and informative but the tour itself was not organized well.

Go to Rio Secreto instead a unique experience! - This was one of the worst tours I have ever taken. The tour started out 90 minutes late. There was a transfer to another bus at the beginning of the tour. Maybe 15-20 minutes addition wasted time. The second bus had a windshield with three separate and large cracks. Top notch for Mexican tours?
The first unscheduled stop was at a 7-11. Wasted 15 minutes there.
At the first real stop in Tulum, account were settled up with passengers - another 30 minutes wasted. The tour through Tulum was very short and the guide briefly described sites, but alway with other noisy tour guides and visitors in close proximity.
The second stop, Coba, was at a small village. Very few of the people on the tour bothered to keep up with the guide. There must be better managed and developed sections of Coba to visit that the one we stopped at.
The last stop was the Cenote. Some people actually went swimming. I would not. The banos were only 20-30 meters from the swimming hole. There is unlikely any sewage treatment in this small village, and probably some leakage into the Cenote. And the 'authentic' mayan buffet lunch looked a lot like a plain old Mexican lunch. Except there was very little meat in the Conchita pibil, and mostly scrap meat and bones in the chicken. And the frijoles dish was empty. Couldn't they even have adequate supply of beans for lunch?
Come on cheap-o tour operator. We paid good money for this experience!
