Loved it - A fantastic evening. We booked through TUI and it was very well organised. Coach came to pick us up from the hotel, couple of pick ups on the way. We opted for gold ticket so no queuing. This option gave us seats too, along with a snack of nachos, hot dog etc. service was on point, welcome cocktail on arrival and never went without a drink, plenty of choice. The show itself is incredible, so well organised and everyone that takes part is truly passionate and skilled at what they do. Music was fabulous and atmosphere was buzzing.
I’d recommend an experience here for all ages.

A nightclub with some entertainment. Worth going and a fun night - A good night out with good entertainment, flowing drinks and fun atmosphere!
The club itself is well drilled getting people into the club. We were in the Gold section with a great view from the balcony.
Christopher was serving us and was attentive from start to finish.
The entertainment is good, some very good bits and some OK bits but all in all it was well done and worth seeing.
The crowd interaction on the screen is good, they highlight the people attending, some take it a little too far but it’s all good fun.
I’d say it’s more a club than a show….its also a long night!!

Good to experience once - My husband and I recently visited Coco Bongo in Playa del Carmen after it came highly recommended, and we had mixed feelings about our experience.
On the positive side, the show itself is very impressive and clearly well organised. There’s a strong security presence, which made us feel safe, and the performances are entertaining and worth seeing at least once.
However, for us, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations overall. There were quite a few gaps between the main performances, which felt more like extended periods of dancing rather than continuous entertainment. The audience camera was also a bit over the top – it seemed to focus on the same groups of people repeatedly, and at times it felt a little cringey rather than fun.
We also found some aspects of the crowd interaction uncomfortable. While you can’t control other people’s behaviour, it felt like certain situations were being encouraged for the camera, which wasn’t really our vibe.
Another downside was the size of the venue. It’s very small for the number of people inside, and you’re packed in extremely tightly – it did feel quite overwhelming at times. Although we enjoyed the first half of the evening and the main show, we decided to leave shortly afterwards as it became too crowded and uncomfortable for us.
Overall, we’re glad we experienced it, as the show itself is entertaining, but the atmosphere and crowding meant it wasn’t somewhere we’d choose to return to.

Ruined the show - Coco bongo was really fun when I went some years ago with many shows and performances. This last time I went they seemed to cut more than half of the performances and filled the gaps with “party time”. Seems like they’re being cheap with the entertainment. Enrico was helpful getting us tickets

More than a disco it seemed like a hostel to ask for cheeky tips - I went on Thursday, December 18 with my partner... we bought a VIAIPI, and we paid for a bottle of Champagne. So far all right, but my discontent came when several of the dancers and photographers, passed where I and my partner were to ask for tips shamelessly on SEVERAL OCCASIONS, (from the dancer dwarf, the boy who was dressed up as the Mask, and the one who was dressed up as bitelchus, apart from the photographer several times) to him first who asked me for tips because he asked me like 5 times, but then they came after like flies all the others. Instead of a disco it looked like a hostel, or that or I look like I have money... otherwise the show was fine.

Horrendous experience. - What an awful experience. The night started by getting picked up by the provided bus - on maps this was supposed to be a 15 minute journey, but because we had to stop off at multiple other hotels and wait at each one for 20 minutes, our total journey time was 1 hour 20 mins...to make a 15 minute drive. This meant by the time we were at the venue we were already frustrated and fed up. We then had issues with our tickets because we had paid to change the date, but for some reason it took them 20 minutes to verify the new tickets and agree that I was the original purchaser, despite showing my ID and all the confirmation emails. Once we got seated in the "gold member" area, seats we had paid $300 for, we had a tree directly infront of us blocking our view and we couldn't see the bottom floor stage without standing up and leaning forward, the main stage was also partially blocked by all the lighting equipment. Once the "show" started, all that happened was a bunch of women in lingerie half hearthedly danced and someone dressed as The Mask ran around getting pictures with everyone. They displayed people in the crowd on the screens and all that happened was a bunch of 40 and 50 year olds grinded on each other - it was incredibly uncomfortable to watch. Then they brought people up from the crowd to dance awkwardly at the front, with one larger woman getting fully nude. We were expecting a show of Queen, Michael Jackson and others, but all we got was a budget performance. We left after 90 mins as we couldn't bare to watch anymore 50 year olds try to dance sexy. Truly disappointing as our friends had recommended this to us as they had been a few years prior in Cancun. Sounds like they had a very different experience so I assume things have changed a lot since they went. Do not recommended and if you do want to go, pay for a taxi instead of the transfer, it was only 300 pesos back to our hotel Secrets Moxché.

DO NOT GO TO COCO BONGO. They cut most acts and it’s not at all what it is hyped up to be - I went to coco bingo after it was highly recommended by my resort, friends from home and a friend that already went a couple years prior. To say it was a bad experience doesn’t do it justice. There was little to no performances, the tequila shots were so watered down to the point that I didn’t even react after drinking them and the staff kept coercing us to dance on the balcony to make it look like we were having a good time. After leaving, the friend I was with showed us what it looked like a couple years ago and it didn’t even look like the same show (2022). Dancers were talking on stage, didn’t look like they wanted to be there and the shows that did happen were about 2 minutes long followed by 15-20 minutes of “partying” (with forced watered down shots and music people weren’t actually enjoying)
If I could give zero stars I would. It was so bad.
Ps. This was a Friday night

Worst Experience Ever - Don't waste your time or money here. The show was so boring and the performers showed it as well. The food wasn't good either. Completely useless.
