The erstwhile subterranean missile station, newly transformed, now houses the Cold War Museum (thanks to a subsidy from the European Structural Funds). Visitors can explore the missile silo maze beneath the ground and delve into the history of the Cold War era, the methods of propaganda, the fallout of nuclear detonations, and life within the military quarters.
The expedition also covers the cityscape of the Palanga town. Here, you’ll wander through the Botanical Garden that contains the Amber Museum, view the Sea Bridge, stroll down the Basanavicius Street, admire the Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary among other attractions.
