A fun and interesting day of snorkeling in postcard-perfect Caribbean waters - My daughter (25) and i took the half-day tour. They picked us up at our resort on-time, and everything went smoothly from then on. Our Captain and guide were attentive and friendly, and they ensured that everyone was comfortable and properly equipped for the dives. (We had several beginner swimmers, as well as a few seasoned divers in our group. Everyone enjoyed it.). We dove first at Silk Cay, a protected island and coral reef. After 45 minutes, we briefly dove near a local fishing boat. The fishermen were cleaning their catch, and dozens of sea life appeared to snack on the waste. It was like a mid-sea petting zoo; we interacted with giant sea turtles, 5-foot sharks, two types of rays, and dozens of fish. After that, we went to Moho Cay. We had a surprisingly tasty lunch there, and we relaxed. About half the group snorkeled around Moho Cay for another 30 minutes, while the rest of us explored the island and waters, or napped in hammocks. We were well-fed (and watered?) and attended to throughout the day. The seas are simply beautiful. It’s a great half day.

Best Snorkeling Experience! - Amazing tour guides, Carlos and Peter. Boat Captain, Dean, was fantastic. All were knowledgeable and shared in easy going manner. The snorkeling was so much better with them in the island setting. I have done the barrier reef and found that to be lacking as only spot utilized. Price was pretty reasonable also. Can't say enough about how well we were treated. Will definitely use them again. Moho and Silky were great places!

It was a good time - Enjoyed ourselves, but the boat ride was a little rough. While that is probably to be expected in the open ocean, I feel like we might have gotten the short end of the stick with our boat. The other boat was larger and a lot more accommodating for passengers. We were in a small boat with no bathroom and no gate to open to get off and on easily. That made it a little rougher for an older lady like myself. We got a change of date the day before because no one else was scheduled to go out that Saturday. I think that might've been the issue with the second smaller boat. It's too bad because the original date was our wedding anniversary and we were going to be celebrating with the trip. The first island is very small and you snorkel around it. There was lots to see. The second island is considerably larger and much more beautiful. The lunch was delicious and ample. The captain and his crew were very friendly and helpful. We did get to see a large turtle, so that was cool. Although it wasn't everything that we had hoped from reading the reviews, it was still spectacular and worth the money.

MultiGenerational Fun - Leisurely Fishing & Snorkeling at Moho Caye - We did the leisure fishing and snorkeling tour. Our multi-generational family of 9, ages ranging from 11 to 70 had a great time! The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable and stated the goal is to have FUN! If at any point we weren't having fun then they would accomodate. They were FANTASTIC! The provided lunch was amazing - this says a lot because it's a challenging group to feed. Will definitely use them again when we go back to Placencia.

Amazing scuba and snorkeling experience - Had a wonderful full day scuba and snorkel experience. It included a refresher as we hadn’t done a dive in over a year. Nick our guide was excellent, pointing out lots of things we may have missed. Saw sting ray, nurse sharks, turtles, reef sharks and more. Would definitely plan another diving adventure with Captain Jak’s

Great on-boat service but horrible before that - Great on-boat experience but the office was horrible to useless. We changed from Monday to Sunday 6 days prior, got confirmed and was left waiting to be picked up at our hotel. We contacted them via WhatsApp and were told “really”, the “yeah now I see it and didn’t notice the reschedule” which was confirmed and included a pick up at our hotel (on our anniversary no less). So we went a day later and not on a super calm Sunday, then sat around waiting for 30 minutes while they rejiggered one boat into two b/c a family sitting there with us booked a private adventure. The snorkeling was great, their guides were awesome and the chef’s food was inhaled with great joy! If you fill out all Captain Jak’s paperwork and get confirmations… that obviously means NOTHING. It’s obviously left up to you to do everything and trust nothing in writing. Their online office folks are useless. I gave them three stars only because everything after leaving dock was great! Shouldn’t being confirmed and on vacation be everything?
