• Pitlochry - The journey north includes a stop at Pitlochry, a charming town that has preserved much of its Victorian charm since it became a favored spot for visitors from Edinburgh.

Travelers can enjoy a leisurely stroll and explore the variety of independent shops and cafes before continuing the journey to Speyside.

• Aberlour Distillery - Established in 1879, Aberlour Distillery is cherished by malt enthusiasts for its intimate setting.

Rich in history and surrounded by the stunning Highland landscape of Ben Rinnes, Aberlour is situated in the heart of Speyside, where the Lour burn meets the River Spey. The distillery uses exceptionally pure and soft spring water from nearby natural springs to craft Aberlour whisky.

Although distillery tours are currently unavailable due to renovations, there is an option for a whisky tasting.

• Glenfiddich Distillery - Founded in 1886, Glenfiddich is one of the oldest family-owned Scotch whisky distilleries.

Visitors have the opportunity to tour the distillery, including a visit to one of the warehouses to explore the generations of gently maturing casks. The tour provides insights into how Glenfiddich maintains the depth and consistency of flavor across their renowned range of whiskies. The tour concludes with a tasting of several malts.

• The Macallan Distillery - Distilling whisky since 1824, The Macallan is one of the most renowned brands globally.

The award-winning Macallan Distillery visitor center, opened in 2018, is accessible by appointment only. To conclude the Speyside exploration, a table will be reserved at the Macallan bar, offering an ‘a la carte’ selection of Macallan whiskies, including some of the rarest single malts, aged over 80 years.

The impressive circular whisky bar provides one of the finest views of Speyside, overlooking the Highland scenery and the iconic Easter Elchies House, integral to the brand since 1824. From the bar, guests can also admire the 18m-high glass wall made up of 840 whisky bottles, showcasing Macallan’s liquid history.
