Great experience with an informative guide! - My partner and I had a fantastic experience with Gennaro. He provided clear and detailed instructions on where and how to meet, including pinned locations and helpful advice on parking, ferry, and bus transport after the walk. He was incredibly considerate of our different fitness levels, adjusting the pace and allowing for extra breaks when needed. Being based so close to the Path of the Gods was a real bonus, and having Gennaro guide us through it with such fascinating insights about the area made it all the more memorable. We’re so glad we took on this challenging activity – every step was absolutely worth it.

Pathway of the Gods hike with Gennaro, don't miss it. - After much research about the Pathway of the Gods and the various guide and hiking options, I decided to use Gennaro. What a great choice! From the first moment of contact, Gennaro was very interested in our needs, what we wanted to get out of the experience and offered a few different options. Gennaro choose the best hike for us which was a loop from and to Bomerano. He also kept in constant contact with us until the day of the hike. Gennaro is not only an expert hiker, he is also an expert in the history and stories about the Pathway of the Gods. We received history, geography and topography lessons all in one. It was truly fantastic. He is very passionate about the history of his home area and about his love of hiking. His passion is contagious and we thoroughly enjoyed all his information. He also gave us many insights and information about Italy's history through the ages. This was very helpful, as I personally like to be immersed in the culture of where I am visiting. After the hike we had a nice espresso at his friend Mario's hotel. Thank you Mario! Gennaro also took many photos of all of us which he forwarded to us. Look no further, Gennaro is the guide for you. Amazing experience - Fantastic experience doing this walk with Gennaro. While the views were amazing it was his insight into the Amalfi region that made it really special. He was knowledgeable and passionate and I came away with a great understanding of what makes this area so magical. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great hiking leader - Had the pleasure of hiking with Gennaro for one week along the Amalfi coast and Capri. Great tour guide with lots of local knowledge and contacts to get you anything you may need. He adjusted the hiking speed to meet our group's capability and that allowed us to have more time at destination to wander around. I would not have had the same experience without him and probably would have walked by some of the sites without realizing what they were.

Beautiful views, strenuous hike - We started from Bomerano and hiked down to Positano. We hired a driver (120 E) to take us from Positano to Bomerano and the drive took almost an hour on the windy roads. The hike to Nocelle was beautiful but strenuous. Moderately technical and definitely requires good hiking shoes. Also bring water, and sunscreen in warmer months. We took the stairs down (1800 steps!) from Nocelle to Positano. Rough! Our legs ached. Then walked about half an hour on the road back to the center of Positano. It's a busy road with no sidewalks. The entire hike took us about 4 1/2 hours. We did this in late October, and it was quite challenging, but worth it! I imagine it would be very difficult in the heat of summer and would avoid if it's wet as much of the path is rock which would be slippery. For reference we are an active 50 year old couple, but not hikers

Lovely, knowledgeable and fun guide. Very experienced technically. - Gennaro was our guide in a very hot August and he led us on a number of walks. His rechnical skills are on point - if you wanted to do some serious hiking he'd be great. For the routes we did, he led the walks with q pace suitable for everyone, stopped frequently (vital on the heat to stay hydrated ' on that note i think he knows where all the water fountains in Italy are!), and shared his knowledge about myths, legends, landscapes, ways of life, recipies and drinks! Gennaro is a lovely warm and kind human. Enjoy your time with him.

Amazing country and people! - While the hike was short due to the weather, it was fabulous! Amazing views and a beautiful hike! Our guide Gennaro was knowledgeable and passionate about the area and was happy to share all of that with us. Patient when we fell behind or ran ahead. Walk of the Gods was only a part of our 8 day experience and every one of those days brought a different adventure! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

One of the best thing to do in Amalfi - This is the most popular hike to do along the Amalfi Coast and it is famous for its jaw-dropping views over Positano. There are several different ways to hike the Path of the Gods. The most common way to do this hike is to start in Bomerano, hike to Nocelle, and then continue the walk to Positano. By doing it this way, it is a one-way hike and mostly downhill. We took a bus from Furore to Bomerano. We reached Bomerano at 7.30AM and we started our hike. Once on the trail, we walked a mix of graded dirt and gravel trails, up and down large stone steps, and over rockier, uneven trails, over the course of the next few kilometers. Once we rounded the bend beyond the trail junction, the views really opened up. On this section of trail, there were a few ups and downs, but nothing too strenuous. We took our time, enjoyed the views, and took lots of photos. We loved this section of the Path of the Gods hike. Here are a few photos. For the next 2 km we were treated to breathtaking views along the Amalfi Coast. Towards the final third of the Path of the Gods trail until Nocelle, we started to head in and out of the forest. We lost some of the wonderful views, but since it was a hot day, the shade provided a nice break from the heat. The Path of the Gods trail’s first leg ends in Nocelle. There are a few small restaurants in this hillside hamlet. We stopped at the very first one, Chiosco del Sentiero degli Dei, and we all had a lemon granita, which is a lemon slush. Once we rested for 15 – 20 mins at Nocelle and we decided to resume our hike to Positano. The walk to Positano was 1,792 stairs from Nocelle to Amalfi Drive and then walk about 1.5 km to Positano. It took us about 30 minutes to descend the stairs and another 20 minutes to walk into Positano. A must do when you are in Amalfi
