While there are other remarkable Reclining Buddha Images in Ayutthaya, this one is considered the largest.
- Wat Phra Si Sanphet - This monastery was the most significant temple in Ayutthaya and was located within the Grand Palace grounds.
- Wat Mahathat - Wat Mahathat was among Ayutthaya’s most vital temples. It housed Buddha relics and served as the seat of the Supreme Patriarch of Buddhism, making it the center of Buddhism in the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
- Wat Ratchaburana (Temple of the Royal Restoration) - In 1957, the crypt of Wat Ratchaburana was looted, and many valuable artifacts such as votive tablets, golden royal regalia, gems, and Buddha images were stolen. The culprits were apprehended, and some treasures were recovered.

- Chao Sam Phraya National Museum - Named after Chao Sam Phraya, a 15th-century King of Ayutthaya, the museum showcases several thousand items, including Buddha images, votive tablets, gold artifacts, and other treasures retrieved from the crypts of various temples.
- Wat Chaiwatthanaram - Constructed in 1630 by King Prasat Thong, Wat Chaiwatthanaram was one of the most magnificent monuments of the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
The King built the temple to earn Buddhist merit and as a tribute to his mother. Her ashes are enshrined in two square chedis flanking the ubosot on the east side of the temple.
