- Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market) - Discover Pak Khlong Talad, Bangkok’s original and largest flower market, known for its wide variety of produce. Local florists frequent this market early in the morning to purchase fresh flowers in bulk for floral crafts. Along the way, visit the Shrine of Somdet Boonma, a key founder of Krung Ratanakosin (Bangkok, Thailand’s current capital). Observe how Thai people use flowers to honor revered individuals.
- Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market) - Participate in a mini floral handicraft workshop with a local lotus seller. Learn to fold Bua Luang (cone-shaped lotus) and Bua Chut (ball-shaped lotus). Bring your folded lotuses to pay respects to a Buddha image at Kalayanamitr Temple (our next stop). Paying respect to the Lord Buddha is optional, especially if you have religious restrictions.
- Wat Kalayanamit Varamahavihara - Take a ferry to Kalayanamitr Temple and make a brief stop to feed fish at the pier in front of the temple. Thai people believe that feeding fish brings merit, contributing to a prosperous and peaceful life.
- Wat Kalayanamit Varamahavihara - Enter Kalayanamitr Temple, which beautifully blends Thai and Chinese Buddhist beliefs. Pay respects to the Sam Por Kong, one of Bangkok’s largest golden Buddha images. Marvel at the size of this Buddha image compared to your own! Admire the stunning mural depicting the peony flower, a symbol of the Chinese nation. Witness Thai people honoring the Lord Buddha in Chinese tradition using incense and candles. Ring Bangkok’s largest bell, which Thai students ring to pray for academic success!
- Wat Kalayanamit Varamahavihara - Enjoy a one-hour floral handicraft workshop with Thai local artisans at Kalayanamitr Temple. With a focus on social enterprise, skilled floral artisans from the Kudi Khow community, where many residents cannot afford English classes, will guide you. Learn to create a beautiful jasmine garland (used to honor the Lord Buddha) and/or Bai Si (used to worship the celestial teacher for success in art and craft). Our guide will translate between you and the artisans throughout the workshop. Additionally, it would be appreciated if you could teach some basic English words to our artisans. Please note that the types of floral handicrafts may vary due to seasonal flower availability.
- Kian An Keng Shrine - At 11:40 am, visit the Guanyin Shrine, one of Thailand’s oldest shrines dating back to King Taksin’s reign (230 years ago). This Guanyin statue is unique as it is seated, unlike the standing statues in other shrines. The wooden statue is intricately carved and coated with gold. Thai people often pray to Guanyin for recovery from illnesses.
- Santa Cruz Church - Explore the history of Portuguese people in Thailand by walking to Santa Cruz Church (also known as Kudi Chin) near Kalayanamitr Temple. The church was built when King Taksin granted land to the Portuguese in Thailand to construct a Roman Catholic church. It served as the main Catholic church in Bangkok and the seat of the Apostolic Vicariate of Siam until 1821, when Assumption Cathedral was completed. This location offers a great photo opportunity!
- Baan Kudichin Museum - Visit the Baan Kudi Chin Museum, a cultural hub for learning about the history, religion, and culinary traditions of the Siam–Portuguese lineage still residing in the area. Sample the Kudi Chin snack, a recipe created by Miss Marie Guimar during the reign of the Great King Narai (300 years ago) and exclusively available in the Kudi Chin area. Enjoy engaging conversations with Thai locals here.

Our tour is dedicated to creating a positive social impact on local communities. We employ talented floral artisans from nearby areas, where many residents cannot afford English language classes. By teaching floral handicrafts to international guests, they have the chance to learn English and earn an income simultaneously. Additionally, we offer a hands-on workshop where participants will thread numerous Thai jasmines onto a skewer. It is quite challenging to maintain alignment, ensuring the top flower matches the bottom one throughout the skewer.
