Awesome experience! - Kyle was an awesome hot air balloon pilot and tour guide! He was humorous and knowledgeable of his craft and the geology of the area. Good times!!

Wonderful experience! - Our experience with rainbow riders was top notch. Jon, who was our balloon captain did an awesome job and so did the crew with takeoff and landing Jon was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and answered everybody’s questions in the balloon. It was well worth the early wake up call!!! Beautiful all around. Definitely do for a bucket list trip!

What a wonderful experience! - What a professional yet still very personal experience! From the time we entered the building at o'dark-thirty to completing the transfer back after our balloon ride, everything was smooth and "considered". Our tour guide, Patrick, communicated beautifully so we always knew what was happening and what to expect. He used his silly humor to keep things light. He did not miss a thing however and we felt 100% safe - even way up high in the morning sky. If you are thinking about doing this...do not hesitate. It is worth every penny. Bucket List Item Fulfilled! What I'd Always Dreamed Of! - Riding in a hot air balloon has been a bucket list item for many years. My boyfriend offered to take me when we went to Phoenix for an athletic competition his daughter was in. I found Rainbow Riders, which was just 12 minutes from where we were staying, and the price was reasonable (cheaper than Viator). The whole experience was great!! From the booking to the confirmation to the check-in, the ride to and from the desert, the ride in the balloon, and the wrap-up back at the office. Even though it was a cold morning for the sunrise ride, once we were in the balloon, I was warm enough with the layers I had on and the heat from the fire keeping the balloon inflated. There were 13 of us in the balloon, but we were in separated compartments of 4 people and there was room to move around and get pictures/views from different angles. Our guide, Jon, was phenomenal! He was funny, told great stories, pointed out interesting landmarks and history as we rode above the Sonoran Desert. Getting in, landing, and getting out was smooth and uneventful. But the best thing of all was the quiet (except when the propane was ignited from time to time to keep the balloon afloat) and beauty while up in the air! It was a good amount of time--about 40 minutes in the air. The champagne toast (with OJ for mimosas!) once we were back on the ground and the story of the origination of hot air ballooning was an added treat. And Jon did it a second time because my video didn't work the first time! I also appreciated the snacks back at the office while we completed our payment and the souvenirs you had available. I highly recommend Rainbow Ryders and would definitely do it again in another location!

Do it! You won’t regret it! - My daughter and I decided to do this while we were in Phoenix and were so happy we did! It was absolutely amazing and beautiful! Our guide, Jesse and crew, were wonderful and he totally stuck the landing! We would absolutely do it again! If you are in Phoenix, I highly recommend it!

Not worth it. Was a bust.... - Not worth it. Was a bust. Didn't go much farther from where we lifted and they said they can't go near the mountains/lake anymore.
