Cool experience, don’t... - Cool experience, don’t expect to see giant planes constantly. If you have little kids, head to the beach at the bar called The Sandbar because the beach directly across from the runway has zero sand. It’s all rocks right up to the road and the water is close.

Lovely drive and great driver. - Pick up area A little difficult to find if you are not familiar with the port, lots of directions needed.

Good time at Maho - This is a good excursion. The driver pointed out some sites and was very personable. Nice air-conditioned bus. The EDC parking lot is well marked and has signage. It's about a 5 min walk. Maho beach is crowded, but not a problem. There are 2 bars on either side. The large one has the rudest staff we encountered. With a group of 8, we weren't allowed to sit at a table, even though it was empty and we were drinking. Just pretty much be a-holes about it. The other bar is cheaper and much nicer staff. Not much around there. So grab a table at the small bar, relax and go out when the planes come in. We saw prob 15 in the 3 hours we were there. 6 large ones.

Must do! Great... - Must do! Great experience had by all in our family. When large plane is taking off cover with a towel as sand will pelt you.

Highly recommended - The wave were extremely rough, making the beach unusable. I made a mistake in my reservation and they fixed it for me no problem. Lots of planes coming and going make it very unique. Overall very fun and informational. We were able to walk the town and have a good time as well.

Maho Beach fun - It took about 40 minutes from the cruise port due to traffic. We were given 4 hours at the beach or e could decide as a group to leave early if we wanted to. Maho beach was a blast and we saw several dozen planes land right over our heads. The little bar at the entrance to the beach had really good food and a fun vibe. Was our favorite excursion on our cruise.

An excellent choice. - We booked the experience the night before, and everything went smoothly. The vehicle was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The guide was adequate, but a little sparse and sometimes difficult to understand. We departed quickly and arrived safely back at port. The airport beach is definitely unique and worth experiencing. A bit crowded, but so exciting to see, hear, and feel those planes so close and so powerful. An excellent choice for something you can't experience anywhere else.

Possible Scam - Very poor communication, no real clear instructions from the vendor. I wandered around the port aimlessly looking for the pick up spot. Finally, a woman from the port directed me where to go, very late and the tour company had already left. This seemed like a scam to me. Try someone more reputable.

Very disappointing! - Worst excursion ever! The beach was so crowded that there was barely any place to even sit in the sand. The waves were not family friendly. We had small children and could not let them into the water. There were just too many people in one place. The worst part was that our shuttle driver never showed up to return us to the ship. We waited as long as we could, but fearing we wouldn't make it back to our ship in time, we found a taxi that had to speed to return us on time. We almost didn't make it. Don't bother with this beach! While watching the planes fly overhead was entertaining, the surroundings were miserable! There are much nicer beaches closer to the port you can access on your own via taxi. We never did find out what happened to our shuttle driver PLUS we had to pay for the taxi ride back on our own. Very disappointing!!
