The information given, was wonderful, it was like a fabulous book that you didn’t want to put down
Knowledgeable docents who really love what they do and invite you in to the discovery process. We did wish we could learn more about the large carved doors inside the home. There was so much to see and discuss and we felt like our docent kept us moving so we wouldn't run out of time.
Very enjoyable experience. Tour guide and staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Wine and cheese on the deck was delightful!
Patricia's offerings were both teaming w/ info yet super personal! I love when a docent presents her/his info in that way. :)
The house was amazingly cool, and the cheese and refreshments were yummy. I appreciated a non alcoholic option at wine time. Our guide was really friendly and knew her stuff!
I like that it was a "hands on" tour . Being able to go up the stairs and touch the wood cabinets was quite unique from other tours I have taken. Out tour guide was great too. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell he had a personal interest in the studio and the furniture. I have lived in Chester County for over 30 years and never knew this place existing. I will definitely tell my friends.
Great experience — enjoyed the House, the wine and cheese were delicious, and the tour guides were excellent.
Excellent tour guide w/ woodworking expertise. Small group facilitated appreciation of the museum’s offerings and interaction of tour members. Combining tour w/ wine and cheese was perfect for pre-dinner outing. Thank you to all who were involved.
The tour was very informative and his work is amazing.
Loved it. Our guide, Patricia was excellent. The size of the group..10....was perfect. Loved the Museum. Can't wait to bring back others, but particularly loved the wine and cheese with our guide to ask more questions and sit on the deck much like Wharton's friends may have. Just loved it all!
We always enjoy visiting. See you again soon.
Very informative guide, great energy! Neat grounds and spaces to explore. Wine and cheese was a lovely addition!
guide was excellent and engaged us at all times
Great informative tour, with a fun and informal ending!
What a lovely experience at the museum. Julie did an outstanding job teaching us about Wharton's life and legacy. It was truly magical.
Loved the museum
It was a wonderful experience, starting with the warm greeting from the young woman in the gathering room. To tour this brilliantly unique and creative enclave has been on my list for a while . Having the chance to see the beauty of Esherick's creations up close was exciting and by keeping the group small, that kept it from being crowded but also made it a more personal experience. Thank you for providing a glimpse into this special place and life!
The tour was great! Our guide painted a wonderful picture of Esherick's life and style. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our docent, Katie, was terrific. The museum is unique and his furniture in particular is exquisite. Katie's knowledge of Wharton Esherick and his life on this property added life to the beauty of his work. The wine and cheese with a congenial group of people made for a delightful afternoon. We loved the tour, the place and the experience. Thank you so much.
This was a phenomenal experience and very spiritual. His works bring us close to nature and give us an insight that is rare in woodworking and art. The staff was very gracious and gave us the extra time to enjoy the surroundings and experience. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to gain the full effect of Wharton Esherick and his influence on us.
It was lovely. I would have liked more information about his tools/methods of wood carving.
The tour guide was excellent, she was very knowledgeable about the museum and made it a wonderful experience. The young lady who hosted the wine & cheese event at the end of the tour was delightful as well.
always love seeing the museum but getting to relax on deck really did put it over the edge of enjoyability. Not that you can take credit, but the weather was fabulous. You can take credit for the delicious wine and cheese choices- definitely far surpassed cheese whiz and boones farm wine.
