5 stars—would highly recommend - Absolutely amazing experience. We were up for a weekend and only had 2 days in Philly. We ended up having a private tour as no one else signed up. She’s absolutely wonderful. Super knowledgeable and great with kids. I have a 10 yo 4th grader who was fascinated the whole time (and a 4 yo who wasn’t paying attention at all but that’s not her fault). We saw everything and all his questions were patiently answered. Afterwards we went inside the places covered and finished his Junior ranger badge. Definitely would use her again once the little one is older.

Historic Philly for Kids - This is a fun and very informative tour geared for children and adults. Wendy is engaged with the children, having the children think and participate in a non pressured way. I saw many things I have never seen before in Philadelphia. The directions for the meeting point are a little vague. The Starbuck’s meeting point is at the corner of the National Constitution Center, 6th and Arch Street.

Fantastic tour for older (8-12 year old) kids - The tour covers the main sites in the Old City in Philadelphia and goes into the history of each place in a way that is fascinating for older elementary school kids and early middle school kids (and adults as well!) Even though the tour is 1.5 hours long (and ours was closer to 1.75 hours), the time flies by. It’s a great tour that I would highly recommend to families that have kids that are 8 to 12 years old. However, I would NOT recommend this tour to families with kids that are younger than 8 (even 8 is somewhat borderline) unless there is an older sibling and the younger one has to tag along. While Wendy tries really hard to get all of the kids really involved (including the youngest ones), the history being covered is just over their heads and the length of the tour is just too much for them. To end on a positive note, my 10-year old loved the tour so much that she said that her school should do a trip to Philadelphia and take the tour. I think that’s a brilliant idea, as the tour is absolutely perfect for middle-schoolers!

kids loved it - went on this tour with kids ages 8,11, and 12. The tour guide Wendy was great and really engaged the kids. When we were almost finished after walking around for 1.5 hours the kids were disappointed when we said it was almost over.
