- Riverside Thai Cooking Class - The Thai cooking class starts at the local Khao Lak market. Here you will choose the ingredients for your Thai dishes, learn about Thai herbs and spices and catch a glimpse of the daily hustle and bustle of local market life.
It’s time to prepare and cook your dishes. This is where the fun really begins. The cooking chef Apple will teach you how to prepare your ingredients the Thai way. Starting with basic curry pastes and Thai seasonings, then cooking techniques before finally creating your impressive Thai meal.
After learning to cook your Thai food there is one more important step in creating a Thai meal to impress your friends. You need to present it in an appetising manner and you will even learn some simple food carving tricks. Then you all dine together in true Thai style and try all the other delicious dishes the class has cooked. I’m getting hungry just thinking about this.
All the fresh ingredients which are used for the Khao Lak Thai cooking class are sourced locally, fresh from the daily market. You will shop with no-plastic bags. Any left over food waste is turned in compost which is used in the herb garden at Riverside.

Food course in Khao Lak - Great experience. Educational and fun activity. We got a lot of information about all the ingredients during our visit to the food market, tasting of fruit etc. Once in place, everything was well organized and arranged. We received clear instructions and help when we needed it. Incredibly good food that we cooked together and got to enjoy.

Great friendly interactive experience.. - Well organised and friendly interactive experience from start to finish. Making the various Thai dishes from the basic ingredients was so informative and totally delicious. Seriously the 'bonus' making of the Spring rolls were the best I've ever tried.
My only word of warning......Don't eat breakfast before going.

Just Brilliant - Cooking Masterclass - Amazing half-day - you'll learn how to cook, and about Thailand at the same time. Can't wait to get home and try out the amazing meals we worked on. Will return to learn more for sure.

Excellent experience - What can I say, an excellent half a day cooking class and market tour with Chef Apple. Very informative and enjoyable morning learning how to cook authentic Thai dishes. Would highly recommend if you get the chance whilst on holiday, worth every penny. Try and book directly through her.

Riverside Thai cooking class - The trip was great went to the market saw ingredients and apple was great she explained everything really well. The cooking class we got to choose what we wanted to cook and really enjoyed the experience

Very successful and great day at Riverside Cooking with Apple. - Very well organized, authentic and educational cooking class. Includes market visit and explanation of local food. The course was absolutely perfectly prepared. Apple, the hostess is very sympathetic and responds to all questions and wishes. She also provides guests with all cooked recipes and photos online.

Highly recommended!! - Super fun!! Miss Apple was very friendly, patient and she had a lot of knowledge of all the products. We did this course with our 2 children (9 and 12) and they too got all the time and attention from miss Apple and her staff. Beforehand, all contact was done via the app and she responds quickly to questions. We could also choose what we wanted to cook beforehand (each a different dish) and on the morning of the course we went to buy all the products at the local market.
We have done everything through her own website, so you do not need an intermediary. Highly recommended!!!

Great day together with Apple - We had a great day together with Apple and I can recommend this class! We participated as a family of four, with kids at 7 and 10 years old and Apple made sure that the course was fun for them as well. It was great walking around at the local food market and having Apple explaining everything that we saw. All in all, a good day!

Super rewarding activity - The whole experience was just perfect! From the booking, to the pick-up at the hotel, the visit of the very typical and rewarding market, the organization of the course itself... I loved the fact that each participant prepares their own recipe, but you can follow the preparation of all recipes. We learn a lot! Everything was very varied and delicious! Apple is hyper dynamic, smiling and makes us try a lot of products, herbs, fruits... The place is also superb and its clerks ultra efficient. Really I recommend 200%

- We cooked with Apple at Riverside yesterday. Pick up was seamless and the market visit was very informative. The best fun though was the actual cooking. I’m pretty useless but I got lots of help and managed to deliver a pretty good Massaman Curry! Apple and her assistants guide you really well and make it fun. The recipes are provided so you can do it at home.
At the end we all shared our food so you get a very good lunch included.
Couldn’t recommend any more highly.
