Fantastic family day exploring Khao Sok - We had a brilliant day exploring Khoa Sok national park with Toni. Beginning with a 3 hour jungle walk we saw many different types of lizards, tarantulas, scorpion, birds, funnel web spider and a delightful otter family.
Toni was brilliant at spotting wildlife which we would have never noticed on our own. Our children are aged 9 & 11 and he made a real effort to create an exciting route for us through the jungle which kept them engaged and excited despite it being very hot April weather.
After a very pleasant lunch we thoroughly enjoyed the monkey temple where Toni guided us in to a temple cave where we were able to see roosting bats.
Our day finished with a raft ride along the river where we were able to see monkeys taking a swim and culminated in a great cup of coffee heated in bamboo.
A really great trip ideal for families.

Clear recommendation. Good and authentic tour - We had a great day with Tony. Everything was super organized. Timing and friendliness were really top! He had a lot of knowledge about flora and fauna. Tony also chose a very nice place for lunch.
We have seen many animals (several monkey families, spiders, beatings and lizards).
The canoe trip was also great fun.
Thank you for a nice day.
We can definitely recommend the tour.

Amazing day!! - Amazing experience for me and my 9 year old son. 6-7km walking into the jungle with very professional and experienced guide Nine. We loved every bit although quite warm and challenging sometimes. We saw monkeys, snakes, spiders and lizards. Highly recommended for older children that are used to walking.

A really fantastic day out! - We were picked up by Nine and Tony at 7.30am and we couldn’t have asked for better tour guides! We had a fabulous morning exploring the jungle and Nine was an expert on finding all the wildlife for us. You do need to be quite fit as it is a 7km hike and quite hilly although we were given the option for a riverside dip which was much needed and very refreshing. We were not disappointed. Followed by Lunch at a restaurant which was really tasty and in a very picturesque spot. We went on a bamboo raft trip after which was serene and thoroughly enjoyable and ended with a coffee made in a bamboo cup (which you can keep as a souvenir at no extra price) on a fire made by the boatmen. We finished with a monkey temple visit which was very informative and a chance to photograph some stunning scenery. We were absolutely knackered by the end of the whole day excursion but what a fantastic day!!!! . Drinks and cool face towels were provided all day which we were very grateful for.
Thank you for a fantastic day out

Good but extra long and hot - Our guide was very kind and told us a lot about the area as we drove; and educated us so much on the flora and fauna of the rainforest. However, this is a super long day, trekking 5 miles over 4 hours in 105-degree heat with 95% humidity. The description doesn’t mention that you’ll be taking a moderately challenging trail with lots of ups and downs and some detours that involve scrambling up inclines, which is tough when it’s that hot. This is not a casual, mellow, 2-hour animal-spotting amble. It’s long, finishing at the hottest part of the day, and you need to be relatively fit. There was no waterfall swim (something again that they did not tell us) due to low water levels, so we wore swimsuits for nothing (very uncomfortable) and there was no cool-down. BUT we saw a lemur, some macaques, areas where elephants had trampled through, loads of lizards, some snakes, various insects including scorpions and tarantulas sleeping in their holes, etc. And the scenery is beautiful.
Lunch was great and in a pretty setting. Open air but we had some AC on the ride there to recover a little from the trek. Soup, two different kinds of stir fry, fried chicken, rice and watermelon.
The bamboo rafting was an hour and through breathtaking scenery on the river— water levels very low but still possible to make the journey. There isn’t much shade so this is again very hot— a hat is a must. At the end just before getting back to the van we stopped and they made tea and coffee in a bamboo cup that we got to keep, that was very cool. Then on the way back we stopped at the monkey temple (lots of adorable macaques, 10 minutes but we could have stayed longer had we wanted to) and a viewpoint with mountain valley views (quick photo opp).
All in all a worthwhile trip but the trek portion wasn’t adequately described as being as challenging as it was, and that level of exercise in the heat made the rest of the day feel like a little bit of a slog. We slept well, that’s for sure.
One other thing, it’s advertised as starting pickups at 8 am, but they told us the day before that it would be 7 am instead. We got back to the hotel at 5:30, so it was a 9.5-hour day in all.
