Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3440m
Namche Bazaar - The trek begins through dense pine and oak forests alongside the Dudh Koshi River. As the journey progresses, glimpses of Mt. Thamserku (6623m) appear on the right. The path continues through forests of pine, fir, and juniper, crossing suspension bridges, and eventually reaching Namche Bazaar, a bustling hub in the Everest region where tourists and locals trade goods.
Acclimatization Day - Hike to Everest View Hotel and visit Khumjung and Khunde villages
Hotel Everest View - The day starts with a climb to the Everest View Hotel for a stunning 360-degree view of the snow-capped peaks. The descent leads to Khumjung village to explore the impressive monastery and Khumjung Hillary School, where the Skull of Yeti is preserved. Khumjung is one of the larger Sherpa villages in the Khumbu region. The trek continues to Khunde village, taking about an hour, where lunch is enjoyed before visiting the old monastery and Khunde Hospital. The return to the lodge in Namche is via Syangboche village.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dhole 4000m/5-6 hours
Trek from Dhole to Machhermo 4410m
Machhermo - The trek ascends with views of mountains like Thamserku (6623m) and Kangtega (6782m) towards Lharbarma. The journey continues, crossing the side valley, Luza, before arriving at Machhermo.
Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo 4759m
Gokyo Lakes - The trail leads through Phangga, descends to the shore, and then ascends the moraines of the Ngozumpa Glacier. After crossing an iron bridge over a river, the path reaches the first Gokyo Lake, Longponga (4710m). Continuing on, the second lake, Taujung Tsho, is reached, followed by the third lake, Gokyo Tsho. The sparkling turquoise waters of these pristine lakes are mesmerizing. Gokyo village is located near the third lake, with Cho-Oyu (8201m) providing a breathtaking backdrop.
Hike to Gokyo Ri 5360m
Gokyo Ri - The morning hike to Gokyo Ri (5360m), a small mountain above Gokyo village, offers spectacular views of the entire Khumbu region. As the ascent continues, the views become more expansive. Four of Nepal’s seven highest peaks are visible: Everest (8848.86m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8481m), and Cho Oyu (8201m). The fourth lake, Thonak Tsho, and the Ngozumpa glacier, the longest in the Himalayas, are also visible. The hike returns to Gokyo village.

Trek from Dzongla to Lobuche 4910m
Lobuche - The trek descends to Dughla, passing several lakes, and then ascends the moraines alongside Khumbu Glacier towards Lobuche. In the afternoon, a climb to the ridge east of the village offers the first views of the Khumbu Glacier, with Mt. Everest mostly hidden by Lhotse and Nuptse.
Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep 5140m/2-3 hours and explore Everest Base Camp 5364m/3-4 hours round trip
Everest Base Camp - The challenging trail continues along the rocky, icy, and slippery ridges of Lobuche Glacier and Khumbu Glacier to reach Gorakshep. Relaxation is possible on the bank of Gorakshep Tsho with a clear view of Everest before nightfall. The steep trail through the moraines of Khumbu Glacier leads to Everest Base Camp (5364m). Upon arrival, the bright tents contrast beautifully with the white Himalayan surroundings. The breathtaking view of the various peaks of the Khumbu region is a reward at Everest Base Camp. After spending time at the camp, the return journey to Gorakshep begins.
Hike to Kala Patthar and trek from Gorak-Shep to Pheriche 4240m
Pheriche - The day starts early with a hike to Kala Patthar. Peaks such as Lingtren (6714m), Khumbutse (6636m), and Changtse (7543m) rise magnificently to the east. The summit of Kala Patthar offers a panoramic view of Mt. Everest (8848.86m). Photos are taken to capture the stunning mountain vista. After descending from the summit, the trek continues downhill to Gorakshep and further to Pheriche for a restful night.
Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar 3440m/
Namche Bazaar - The descent from Pheriche takes about 3 hours to reach Pangboche, passing through the villages of Pheriche, Orsho, and Somare. The trek downhill is relatively easy. The path continues to Imja Khola and Deboche, finally reaching Tengboche. The largest monastery in the Khumbu region, Tengboche Monastery, is explored. The trek continues on a 3-4 hour trail to Namche Bazaar, passing monasteries, schools, and tea houses. Although the trail may be challenging due to gravel and sand, the sense of accomplishment is immense. Overnight stay at a lodge in Namche Bazaar.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla 2840m
Lukla - Depart Namche Bazaar and descend through pine forests. Cross the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. The trail continues along the riverside to Jorsalle. The journey proceeds to Phakding, crossing several bridges. After a lunch break, the trek continues to Lukla, completing the trek upon arrival.
