  The Edro III ran aground on September 8, 2011, during a severe storm. At the time of the incident, there were nine crew members on board, consisting of seven Albanians and two Egyptians. All crew members were successfully rescued. The EDRO III weighs approximately 2.5 tons and measures over 80 meters in length. Boarding the ship is no longer allowed due to safety concerns.

Akamas is the last significant unspoiled coastal area in Cyprus and one of the few crucial sea turtle nesting sites in the Mediterranean. From the end of May to September, visitors can observe the nests, which are safeguarded by small enclosures.

In 1989, the Lara Coastal region and its surrounding sea were designated as a Protected Area.

During this stop, visitors can swim and take a break at a small café near Lara Bay, where snacks and drinks are available for purchase (not included in the price).
