Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain, has become one of Cusco’s most sought-after day tours. Visitors can marvel at the mountain’s vibrant mineral stripes in shades of yellow, red, ochre, white, and turquoise, which create a striking visual appeal. The 7km round-trip from the Cusipata – Pampachiri route is a gentle ascent, leading to a hillside viewpoint facing the mountain. From the summit, enjoy 360-degree views, including the nearby Ausangate (6384m), the tallest peak in southern Peru. Due to the high altitude, which exceeds 5000m, it is advisable to ascend gradually to successfully reach the summit of Peru’s Rainbow Hills.

Great experience at 5036 mts - The Rainbow Mountain tour was a truly awe-inspiring adventure. The hike, though challenging, is incredibly rewarding, offering some of the most vibrant and unique landscapes I’ve ever seen. The colors of the mountain are unlike anything else, with reds, greens, and yellows creating a surreal, almost otherworldly scene. The trek itself takes you through high-altitude terrain, so it’s important to be prepared for the elevation and cold temperatures. The guide was knowledgeable and provided helpful tips throughout the journey. Nice organization and kind team! - The Rainbow Mountain trek was a truly awe-inspiring experience. The 2-day hike through the Andean highlands offered stunning views of snow-capped peaks, rolling hills, and the vibrant colors of the mountain itself. The trek's challenge lies in the high-altitude conditions, but the rewarding views at the summit are worth every step. The vibrant reds, purples, and greens of the mountain are unlike anything I've ever seen. Our guide was excellent, providing insights into local culture and history. The trek was physically demanding, but the sense of accomplishment and the surreal beauty of the landscape made it all worthwhile. Highly recommend for nature lovers and adventurers!

5036 Mts Conquered - Vinicunca! - The day trip to the Mountain of Colors, also known as Vinicunca, is a unique adventure that immerses you in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. The tour starts early from Cusco, taking a shuttle to the starting point of the hike. After about 2-3 hours of trekking, you get to the top, where the colorful mountain view is truly breathtaking. The shades of red, pink, green and yellow, created by natural mineralization, look like they’re taken from a picture. In addition to the beauty of the landscape, the tour offers a connection experience with nature and local culture, as small mountain communities are traversed. Although the hike can be challenging for altitude, the reward of reaching the top is indescribable. Without a doubt, it is an experience that leaves a mark, perfect for lovers of nature and adventure. However, it is recommended to be prepared for height conditions. Gracias Lares trip!

Rainbow mountain and red valley day trip - The Tour was great , very early pick up but the breakfast and lunch included was tasty. Bring some cash with you. Water or drinks at lunch is not included . And you can pay for snacks on the trail. I recommend adding the Red valley portion if you feel fit enough after the summit . It was beautiful

Highly recommended! - The rainbow mountain tour was fantastic with Lares trip, the service was well organized, the pick up from our hotel was puntual and we made the top of the rainbow mountain 5036 meters above sea level. We will recommend this tour our friends!

Great service to visit Rainbow mountain - The rainbow mountain Trek was amazing with Spectacular Views and landscapes.
We had a nice day along the tour that gave us a nice weather on the top off the mountain.
In general the service was great and reasonable to conquer the colorful peak in Cusco.
