The winding path continues past several impressive waterfalls until reaching Laguna 69, a jewel of deep turquoise water surrounded by glacial moraines. Towering directly above the lake are the sheer ice walls of Chacraraju, one of the most beautiful—yet technically demanding—6,000 m peaks in the Cordillera Blanca.
