Huaraz - Transfer through Valle Llanganuco to Cebollapampa - Trekking to Refugio Pisco (4680 m)
Huascaran National Park - Today marks the start of the journey to the climbing departure point. The group travels by private transport to the Santa River valley, reaching Yungay and continuing through Valle Llanganuco. From Cruze Cebollapampa, the trek ascends to Refugio Peru. The Pisco mountain hut, “Refugio Perú,” serves as the base camp. The breathtaking views of the rear side of Huascarán Peak and Chopicalqui are truly impressive. Additionally, the scenery includes Huandoy, Chacraraju, and Yanapaccha. Overnight stay is at the hut. Driving takes approximately 3 hours, and the hiking duration is around 5 hours.
Base Camp/Peru Hut - Climb Nevado Pisco (5752 m) - Return to Base Camp. Optional: Hike to Moraine Camp (4900 m)
Huascaran National Park - Shortly after midnight, the group departs from Base Camp, ascending to cross the extensive moraine to reach the glacier. A steep climb leads to the saddle of Nevada Pisco, followed by the final ascent over the glacier to the summit at 5752 meters. The view from the peak is spectacular, showcasing the highest mountain in Perú – Huascarán, along with nearby Huandoy, Chopiqualci, and others. The descent back to Refugio Peru follows. Optional: The group can comfortably hike to Moraine Camp in 3 to 4 hours and return to the refuge, or if preferred, camp on the moraine at 4900 m. Overnight camping involves approximately 5 hours of hiking and 9 hours of climbing.
Base Camp - Trekking to Refugio Pisco - Transfer to Huaraz
Huascaran National Park - As the trek concludes, the group begins an early morning descent toward Cebollapampa, continuing the hike until reaching the highway. From there, a vehicle transports everyone back to Huaraz. Arriving at the hotel, the group feels both tired and joyful. Overnight camping involves about 4 hours of hiking and 3 hours of driving.
