Biggest gold coin in the world ! - Did the gold tour of the mint and got really close to largest gold coin ever minted. Believe it or not it weighs just over a ton and at today’s gold price it’s worth approximately £100,000,000. Yep that’s one hundred million British Pounds. Lots of other interesting stuff to see and learn about and also you get to see gold being poured into mould to make an ingot. Well worth a visit

Just Gold - Very nice tour on Australian Gold history and how gold changed from raw to gold bar. At the end of the tour you know much more about gold, you can try to lift a gold bar.

Informative tour of the... - Informative tour of the Perth Mint with a knowledgeable guide - it would’ve been better if the guide’s commentary was less scripted and a bit more natural, as she came across very awkward. Pace of the tour was good and didn’t feel rushed.

Fascinating Experience but a Bit Crowded - The Perth Mint was a great experience, especially the live gold pouring demonstration and learning about the history of Western Australia’s gold industry and the mint itself. The exhibits were interesting, and it was amazing to see and even touch a large piece of pure gold, as well as the massive gold coin on display. Our guide was fun and engaging, making the tour enjoyable and informative. The only downside was that the groups were quite large, making it feel a bit crowded in small spaces and leaving not enough time to explore all the exhibits in detail. Overall, a fascinating and worthwhile visit, especially for anyone interested in gold or WA’s history.
