pocketfulofpocky's Perfect Days

My Perfect Mancunian Day

    • Morning
      • Sugar Junction

      • Breakfast at Sugar Junction. Absolutely amazing selection of loose leaf vintage teas with a to die for breakfast spread.
      • The University of Manchester

      • It's most likely raining, so spend the morning exploring the Manchester Museum. Don't forget to stop by and say hello to the mysterious Egyptian statue that moved without touching it.
    • Afternoon
      • Bem Brasil - Deansgate

      • After all that walking around, stuff your face to your heart's content at the best Brazilian Steakhouse in town. Vegetarians don't fret, there's loads of veg choices at the salad bar, and dessert as well.
      • The John Rylands Library

      • Truly one of Manchester's greatest treasures, this beautiful site is home to some very rare books. A must visit for the ardent book-lover.
    • Evening
      • Rozafa

      • This Greek restaurant is my favourite place in town. Get the fish set menu for two and watch plate after plate of mouthwatering delights is brought to your table. Go on Fridays because they have bouzouki night with live Greek music, and watch the customers show off their moves.
      • Spinningfields

      • If it's summer, grab a beach chair and catch one of the open air movies.
    • Night
      • The Palace Theatre

      • Catch a show at the gorgeous Palace Theatre. Balcony seats offer a beautiful view, and the decor makes you feel like you're in a Jane Austen novel.
      • cloud 23

      • After the show, it's time for a drink. Cloud 23 offers the perfect bird's eye view of Manchester. And they've got great house cocktails.
      • the font

      • For the last stop of the night, go to Font. Great music. Cheap drinks. And plenty of room for some dancing with friends.
      • I would stay at: The Midland Hotel

      • One of Manchester's most iconic buildings, and more than 100 years old, get immersed in Manchester's industrial glory.
