Crema Cafe
This is the perfect spot to enjoy good conversation or good reads. Grab a sandwich and cappuccino and head upstairs to the loft. You'll feel cozy and productive in this quaint cafe.
Harvard Museum of Natural History
Check out the botany, dinosaur, and meteorite exhibits here. This is a little-known spot and never crowded. Admission gets you access to the Peabody Museum. Take a walk through Harvard Yard after your visit.
Cambridge Antiques Market
Spend an afternoon getting lost in the CAM. This is a great spot for one-stop antique and gift shopping. Walk downstairs and chat with the bicycle mechanics at Cambridge Used Bicycles. You can find English Raleighs and Robin Hoods in good shape and for a good price. Don't miss the art prints downstairs as well!
Darwin's Ltd
Stop here for a heartwarming and uplifting cup of green tea to get you through the rest of your Cambridge adventures. You won't regret it.
Raven Used Books
Raven, on JFK Street, has high-quality used books and specializes in the arts and humanities. I've found my best loved original editions here.

Jose's Mexican Restaurant
Get a table on the second floor and don't miss out on the great margaritas here. The colorful ambience is just as fun as the staff. The food is fresh, flavorful, and has you feeling great walking out the door.
Charlie's Kitchen
Walk upstairs through the right-side door and select some rock 'n roll on the juke box. Charlie's is a great place to get together with a group of friends over good, local beer. The beer garden is a fun gathering spot in the summer.
Middle East Downstairs
The Middle East is a great corner in Central Square to check out both mainstream and local bands. The bar isn't overpriced, and the Middle Eastern cuisine in the restaurant (ZuZu) is some of the best in Cambridge. A few bands who have played here in the past few years include Explosions in the Sky, The Album Leaf, Do Make Say Think, and Mono.
I would stay at: Irving House
This bed and breakfast has many art installations that juxtapose the building's Cambridge charm. The owners are active members of the community.
