Travel cravings

I love to see the world and experience new cultures. When I travel, I prefer to feel like I am with the locals. I'll take in a few must-sees, but spend most of my vacations learning where to eat and explore from the people that I meet on the streets. I like a wide range of vacations, from tiny cottages on a beach, holistic spa and resorts, or hiking Yellowstone.

Lindsey's Perfect Days

Jost Van Dyke, Nature's Little Secret

    • Morning
      • White Bay, Jost Van Dyke

      • Enjoy a walk along the beach. This pristine beach is exactly what most people picture when dreaming about a Caribbean vacation.
    • Afternoon
      • Day sail and snorkel The Caves

      • Find a local sailing company to take you to Norman Island and The Caves, which became famous as the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's novel, "Treasure Island". Afterwards, stop for lunch at the William Thornton "Willy - T" floating bar & restaurant.
      • Soggy Dollar Bar

      • Home of the original drink that the Caribbean is known for -- the Painkiller. A concoction of premium dark Rum, Cream of Coconut, Pineapple and Orange Juice (proportions are secret), topped with fresh grated Grenadian Nutmeg.
      • Ivan's Stress Free Bar

      • No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem! Kenny Chesney filmed the video for his hit on the shores of Ivan’s and it absolutely fits the feel of this tropical honor-system beach bar.
    • Evening
      • Foxy's Tamarind Bar

      • Foxy’s Bar in Great Harbour is famous for its fabulous location, delicious menu, legendary events, handcrafted beer and signature Foxy’s Firewater rums–but perhaps it’s most famous feature is the owner, Foxy Callwood. We were lucky enough to meet him and hear him play some clever and hysterical tunes.
    • Night
      • Watch the sunset over White Bay

      • Most of the island slows down when the sun goes down, which is the perfect time to head back to your cottage to take in the gorgeous sunset from your balcony (or the beach).
      • White Bay Villas & Seaside Cottages

      • The Seaside Cottages are very secluded and just a short walk to the beach. It's a cozy home away from home, with a small living room and kitchen for you to cook meals. The best part is sitting out on the balcony to enjoy what you cooked while taking in a stunning view of White Bay.
